OK, just to amuse you... I'd been carrying a hammer since the age of 6. My parents used to get me out of the riff-raff of the city to my grandparent's lot in the suburbs during summer break. My grandfather was a mechanical engineer and yes, starting at the ripe old age of 6 I started slinging a hammer helping him build his new house. Pops taught me everything I know. After high school I was a solo GC (with a helper or two) until my career in the Navy. After that I built and renovated hotels and multi-million dollar houses in south Florida for a few decades. I had 88 guys working for me at one point until the 06-08 crash, then it was just me and a skeleton crew. So yes. I worked right along side my guys and have the hands and Popeye's forearms to prove it. lol
