A neutron star? Those things are pretty damn massive, with a minimum mass greater than the sun itself! If one of those were anywhere near the inner solar system, we'd see some hella huge gravitational perturbations on the positions of the outer planets. Things would be seriously out of whack with their predicted locations, especially with lower mass bodies such as asteroids. I don't know who these jokers think they are, but their claim doesn't fit the observational evidence.

According to Baruch's account in the interview, Mercury has developed a magnetic field "over the course of the last six years" whether that is significant or not, you decide. There's certainly no general shortage of indications of Earth changes, is there?

Re: Astrophysicists: Best case scenario is the end of Western civilization as we know it.
No one underground during this event will come out.
They will get squished despite all hardening.
The forces will be too great.

Further, it is entirely possible that after the pole swap, with the planet in opposite spin, we will no longer have activation of the free electron in the outer valence shell of atoms of material that can be energized by applied resistance, which is the foundation principle of our grid function.

There will be a period of time when even electromagnetic
power will fail, as the field neutralizes and then flips.
(bad fires as static is spit onto flammable material)

This will not affect our bodies, as the biophysical
electrical systems are more like a plasma base and have no polarity, like water, which is a conductor but like us,
without polarity.

People who intend to try to live through this should be
at least 100 miles off coastlines, able to live without
electricity, and will need fire suppression equipment, and
water filtering systems.

Astrophysicists are guarding what they know about this
very closely. They've been threatened. They can barely
communicate in lay terms anyway. The information I have
has come from R&D of a zero point power supply unit,
integratable with existing service entrances to feed
branch circuits with ordinary 60 Hz AC power.

Needless to say, the project is shelved and designs for survivable shelters are on the drawing board now.

yeah, I'm sorry SOURCES are (historically) the most important thing a supposed journalist can address. By not addressing the sources, this interview (though interesting, from an anti-Obama-ist and Bible-ist) is made invalid by the anonymity of the sources.

I know this is how journalism all the time, but something THIS BIG needs scientists with "balls" coming forward to CONFIRM such a story.

Sorry.

There are plenty of scientists out there with the credibility, balls and fame to call a press conference and warn everyone about this.

The reason they don't is that it is a crock of sh*t. There is no truth to any of it and they don't want to look like total fools on national television by peddling this sort of fear mongering.

Anybody can make up a story and say they have "two phd's who told them this". and concoct some outlandish story.

I agree! All these disasters occuring, all the death, the changes in weather and in earth herself. The solar system is going through some drastic changes which yes, is effecting our earth so yes, I think that is evidence enough!

Also, the spiritual masters speak of 21/12/2012... Funny how the source has mentioned that very same day that all this will happen.

The gravitational effects are beginning.
- No more use of high rise cranes. The slightest change in gravity causes them to fall. Many cranes were inspected just prior to collapsing.
- Bridges are less stable, more collapses. Explains the cover up report of how bad US bridges really are.
- Increased Earthquakes Undeniable increases
- Increased Volcanic activity Undeniable increases
- Greater high/low tides beyond casual explaination. Oceans around the world have seen unexplainable increases in tide maximum/minimum. Up to 4' beyond normal
- Entire solar system heating up Due to the heat from the inbound star increasing the heat all planets receives
- Increases in Sun bound comets from South the solar system. Recently about 6 very large objects hit the Sun in a couple of weeks. Very rare to have 3.
- Incoming rocks, comets and meteors is now classified data This was big news a year or so ago
- Seed vaults and other great underground structures being built in the shadows We all know the popular seed vault
- The oldest library owned by the Vatican was disassembled and disappeared. Vatican said it had a crack in the foundation and needed to close for repairs. The library hasn't closed in the longest time, hundreds of years. Now it is gone.
- Solar cycle expected to be very intense. This is known
- Governments world wide are moving critical systems inland. In example, the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security, ect all moving to the hills
- Historical information. Nearly every ancient culture has written about a great event that can be easily seen as what we are talking about now.
- The greatest astronomers in recorded history are the writters of 12/21/2012. The Mayans have a calendar and astronomical knowledge that is still superior to modern day technological accomplishments.

There is my arguement in debate. Lets here the evidence against it. Lets see if there is enough evidence to claim the opposite of what we speak of. And using a government official reports won't work since the governments already stated they wouldn't release such information if it were true in fear of social collapse.

Re: Astrophysicists: Best case scenario is the end of Western civilization as we know it.
from wiki these are the properties of a neutron star what caught my eye is the fat that it acts as a gravitational lens.. so if this thingy is close to the solar system we would have already started to see major upheavel not just the iceland volcano..

[edit] Properties

Gravitational light deflection at a neutron star. Due to relativistic light deflection more than half of the surface is visible (each chequered patch here represents 30 degrees by 30 degrees).[6] The mass of the star depicted here is 1 and its radius 4, in natural units[6] from a geometrized unit system such that it has double its Schwarzschild radius of 2.The gravitational field at the star's surface is about 2 × 1011 times stronger than on Earth. The escape velocity is about 100,000 km/s, which is about one third the speed of light. Such a strong gravitational field acts as a gravitational lens and bends the radiation emitted by the star such that parts of the normally invisible rear surface become visible.[6]

The gravitational binding energy of a neutron star with two solar masses is equivalent to the total conversion of one solar mass to energy (from the law of mass-energy equivalence, E = mc2). That energy was released during the supernova explosion.

A neutron star is so dense that one teaspoon (5 milliliters) of its material would have a mass over 5.5×1012 kg, about 900 times the mass of the Great Pyramid of Giza.[7] The resulting force of gravity is so strong that if an object were to fall from just one meter high it would only take one microsecond to hit the surface of the neutron star, and would do so at around 2000 kilometers per second, or 7.2 million kilometers per hour.[8]

The temperature inside a newly formed neutron star is from around 1011 to 1012 kelvins.[5] However, the huge number of neutrinos it emits carries away so much energy that the temperature falls within a few years to around 1 million kelvins.[5] Even at 1 million kelvins, most of the light generated by a neutron star is in X-rays. In visible light, neutron stars probably radiate approximately the same energy in all parts of visible spectrum, and therefore appear white.

The equation of state (EOS) for a neutron star is still not known. It is assumed that it differs significantly from that of a white dwarf, whose EOS is that of a degenerate gas which can be described in close agreement with special relativity. However, with a neutron star the increased effects of general relativity can no longer be ignored. Several EOS have been proposed (FPS, UU, APR, L, SLy, and others) and current research is still attempting to constrain the theories to make predictions of neutron star matter.[1][9] This means that the relation between density and mass is not fully known, and this causes uncertainties in radius estimates. For example, a 1.5 solar mass neutron star could have a radius of 10.7, 11.1, 12.1 or 15.1 kilometres (for EOS FPS, UU, APR or L respectively).[9] All EOS show that neutronium compresses with pressure.

Anything is possible, I suppose. But a neutron companion star? Hrm.

Just one teaspoon of a neutron star would have the mass of over 5 x 10^12 kilograms. I'm just not finding any observational evidence to suggest that an object with such a massive gravitational pull is "out there". A neutron star is formed from a collapsing star that less than 5 times the solar mass of our sun, but not smaller than 1.5 solar masses. Such an event would have surely left some evidence if it has an orbital path of 24000 years. *edit* Evidence such as mass extinctions every 24k years or so.

Anything is possible, but I don't think this particular scenario is scientifically plausible.

The end of western civilization and population reduction of 30-50%? And the bad news is?
Humanity is overcrowding this planet to such a degree that wars are being fought for no reason other than resources. Science seems to be 90% devoted to finding better ways to wage said wars. Should nature decide to do a bit of culling she'll as least be a bit fairer, she doesn't care what religion you are or how many weapons your country can afford to buy. Earth could do with a good old whitewash and restart.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 893316

The Earth is not even close to being over-populated.

The whole population of the US could easily fit in Texas.

Wars are fought for one reason and one reason only. PROFITS!

Now if we could find a way to eliminate only the 2-3% of the population that are truly the problem....

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 856028

If a neutron star is close enough to have any of those kinds of effects on earth, let alone mercury, then it's close enough that its gravitational forces would be even greater to the point that the planets should not be in their predicted locations. Magnetic field strength decreases proportial to distance cubed whereas gravitational strength decreases proportional to distance squared. There are no giant planets, let alone brown dwarfs, let alone neutron stars(!), affecting the known planets like that.

I can't believe this BS got revived, let alone pinned. Slow day eh?
