Thanks, I would rather take my chances. Stocking up a bit is prudent. Planning on living out an apocalypse is senseless. The Lord is my sheperd, I shall not want. |

If your neighbors fail to take your advice and are to cheap and lazy to prep for themselves, they will bust your door down and take your stuff. Also you may want to look into Mountain House foods. They are far better quality than most and have been in business a long time. |

User ID: 46929826 United States 03/29/2014 09:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do have one #10 of mountain house stew, and some bags of dried veggies. I also have, for now, my own well which I can siphon water out of if necessary. I do have a wood stove which came in handy when the power went out one winter (it was out for 24 hours) and we used the wood stove to cook on as it has a flat top. I am going to hate to leave that behind.... "When you don't keep your word, you lose credibility and trustworthy friends" |

I hope that my advice does not come off as condescending, but in a true SHTF situation the thin veneer we call society could break down very quickly. That neighbor that you have known for 15 years will turn on you like a copper head if their kids are hungry and they know you are holding food. |

Thread: What kind of beans and rice do you guys buy for your preps? And PS: Sorry I fell of the wagon for a bit, ugh. Back on track. Not a good idea to be posting food preps online ya know. Just saying. Thank goodness this was the first post because it is what i thought immediately. Kate you are smart to prep but getting attention from it like this cancels it out... |
