Anonymous Coward User ID: 70159217 United States 12/09/2015 07:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yo, OP here Well I figured I'd update my thread, Winter now, the garden has frozen Once I get to October, it's over, I basically go into Winter mode and so I am planning a better chicken trap/box with straw for next year. Essentially, that god damned chicken trampled all my tomatoes, she was a complete asshole. I had a foot wide chicken tromping path through my maters. However, overall the year was good and all of us are mostly better friends and neighbors with each other as ever. But I will be catching that fucking chicken in the Spring, she wrecked my garden and owes me some eggs. I will not try to collect from my neighbor, he is a good man and has no idea what his chicken did. |

I'd show the chicken farmer a video of the chicken eating the Roma tomato and ask them if they want chicken food! Maybe they'll give you eggs if the prized chicken is eating your lunch. Maybe can the tomatoes and sell them as grade A chicken food! I might find out if I can grow tomatoes in this RV park, maybe even some lettuce or sweet potato! NowIhavetothinkofanameohnoithurts It's all bull! Nevertheless, the ruler is not truly wise who cannot discern evils before they develop themselves, and this is a faculty given to few. I just saw one of his hens eat one of my romas, just tore into it like Luigi himself, raw right off the vine. :puz: Never seen that nor has my lady! sounds like it is time to bring in the tomatoes! or at least demand some eggs |

Califo9rnia voted free and legal weed long ago But code is now up everyones ass I live in one of the last free zones, and since my neighbor has a family, and is a street level person such as myself, I will tolerate his wandering property. BUT like was suggested, you catch more chickens with honey than with vinegar. |

If it comes on your property, it's yours...or you could shoot it. Legally. Yes this was said earlier but then wiser heads said use honey (straw) and catch an eggs or two But fuckin bird destroyed my garden! Two chicken claws can utterly wreak havok on mater plants, this I now know. As a neighbor said when I boiled the content of this thread down to him, "Who'd want that nasty old flea bitten bird?!" Apparently he is a better sizer up of chickens than I am! I laughed out loud for real when he said that, to me, a chicken is a chicken, it puts out eggs and meat but he's all affected by the appearance of the bird? LOL Different neighbor I mean. |

queenbee User ID: 65011790 United States 12/09/2015 09:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you are stewing while you should be clearing the air. that is just wrong. tell him how much of your crop you lost. tell your neightbor to make a high fence around his coop. OR tell him to pay to put a fence around your garden. chickens can be very destructive if his chickens are young they may attempt to fly over the fence. these chickens will need to get their wings clipped (a painless process if done right) until they are old and lazy offer to help him clip wings, it can be a two person job. this isn't rocket science. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70159217 United States 12/09/2015 09:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nah, this years garden consisted of just some walmart and home depot plants (lol) and they took well, and I got one bumper harvest of romas to share with folks and a decent stream of roma to put on my grilled cheese. Cheese yeah. That's where its at. Cows re MUCH harder and dairy is sooo yummy. Man this rural shits hard, I stil have to go to town all the time! Dairy farmer is harder worker than chicken farmer this much I believe. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70159217 United States 12/09/2015 09:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Consider: COW = cheese, sour cream, cream cheese for bagels, MILK!, and then even more, you can eat the cow if so inclined. CHICKEN = eggs. So in the end one has perhaps the right to grow animals and that good neighbor is he who sets the pace. My neighbor and me are partners tho he doesn't know it, I do. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70159217 United States 12/09/2015 09:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Now asked my OTHER neighbor about cows, specifically, spending 1000 bucks and gettin a dairy cow. 1: you gotta milk here like 3x + a day, lots of work, 2: you need two, apparently they get bored if not. 3: The fuck if I know! Already its too much! I have enough milking to do with my lady, do I need more teats?! Sheesh, providing for bellies and so forth is not easy! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70159217 United States 12/09/2015 09:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | However I will say that foodmaxx has bread flour on sale for 1.99 a 5lb bag and I grabbed tons of that shit, to make bread for my neighbors. I think I mentioned I have a couple breadmakers, both are breadman ultimates. So I got like 50 lbs of bread flour not just lame ass old flour Because, for me, breads fuckin easier than barnyard and garden. However, I will update this thread as I can. There is a back and forth of giving, at this level. It's kinda like the indians, you value things spiritually first, then materially second. Well they know me more for bread than maters, hehe. |

GLP does add the perfect touch hehe I will bee checking that out! I would love our barnyard comments or all else in my thread! 1000 pages of barnyard rural and mobile lifestyle (well not everyone is mobile thanks to their animals. Indeed when one has animals one cannot travel! Oh and we took in a lvely stray cat she is so sweet! She was left by a previous owner, but she's so sweet we will take her with us if we decide to live elsewhere. But where else can I pay decent rent, own my domicile and raise food? Indeed, I better STFU because they are eliminating everything I love in America. |
