Found this on Detoxing Heavy metals and other toxins from body.
Dr Berg is a good resource for this issue. Sure there are others as well but happen to like him for his straight-forwardness.

As far as removal of heavy metals from water I would suggest to look up 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis Filter system.

Not sure if it can be run stand alone without running water to your home but it sounds like a very good system for a plethora of contaminates.

Jellied alcohol (i.e. Sterno). You can buy it in cans designed for keeping chafing dishes warm.

A convenient way to heat food in cans, etc. Fairly inexpensive.

Just be aware you can't really see the alcohol flame burning. It is there and it is hot. Be careful.

Hmmm...lost a tooth (sideways wisdom tooth cracked a back molar). Was it Biltong that did it? Nah, jerky. I've been poking about for simple meat strip methods. So my partner (H_S on here) shared with me the love of tastebuds and palette. Biltong. We ordered a bunch of various biltongs and I'll never eat jerky again. Easy to make, shelf stable for a year + if kept right and 'fluffy', rather then dry and chewy.

Meat is going to get more and moar expensive so when you see things on sale...try a hand at it. There are simpler recipes for various shelf lifes. But it is far superior IMO.

Sounds yummy! I don't care for the texture and chewing of jerky, so will be looking into this asap

Workers Who Maintain Supply Chains Warn of Worldwide ‘System Collapse’

BY JACK PHILLIPS September 29, 2021 Updated: September 29, 2021

Several industry groups have warned world leaders of a worldwide supply-chain “system collapse” due to pandemic restrictions, coming as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell suggested that the current period of higher inflation will last until 2022.

The International Chamber of Shipping, a coalition of truck drivers, seafarers, and airline workers, has warned in a letter to heads of state attending the United Nations General Assembly that governments need to restore freedom of movement to transportation workers amid persistent COVID-19 restrictions and quarantines.

If nothing is done, they warned of a “global transport system collapse” and suggested that “global supply chains are beginning to buckle as two years’ worth of strain on transport workers take their toll,” according to the letter. It was signed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Road Transport Union (IRU), and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), which represent some 65 million transport workers around the world.

“All transport sectors are also seeing a shortage of workers, and expect more to leave as a result of the poor treatment millions have faced during the pandemic, putting the supply chain under greater threat,” the letter said. “We also ask that WHO and the ILO raise this at the U.N. General Assembly and call on heads of government to take meaningful and swift action to resolve this crisis now,” they wrote.

Meanwhile, retailer Costco said it’s chartering its own container ships between Asia and North America amid supply chain issues worldwide, Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said in a recent conference call.Home depot is also getting ships

Costco, he said, is dealing with “port delays, container shortages, COVID disruptions, shortages on various components, raw materials and ingredients, labor cost pressures” along with “trucks and driver shortages,” Fox News reported.

QUOTE
People stockpiling things to work with are not targeted
The supply chains are again on track; last year was pathetic, but they could make it and keep their raw material losses to a minimum. Meaning that they couldn’t replenish some of the stock but didn’t lose too much.

However, doing this with food and similar staples was a risk: authorities would seize whatever they like, and people would appear in the media as “hoarders,” going to jail.

The most important part was that the businesses kept running because authorities do not target those stockpiling stuff to work with, which is a great lesson.

These Venezuelans survived the economic collapse

If the power and water supply is off, couldn't you just put the 13 gallon kitchen trash bag right in the toilet. Then put kitty litter in it. Then you don't have to remove the toilet seat and sit on a bucket...

 Quoting: DuckNCover

Probably easier that way, if you have gotten something to plug the bottom of the toilet so there is no back-up from the lines.

The bucket method is low for bad knees yet setting the bucket on something to raise it is unstable unless y'all have thought of something I have not.

It might not be a bad idea to keep a roll of foil & a roll of tape in the trunk of your car.

If you ever bug out you will use your car...if you bug out then chances are you are going to sleep in your car.

In that case you'll want to block the windows from anybody looking in while you're sleeping.

Or perhaps you don't want the vehicle to appear to be slept in at some point so you just scoot down in the seat, windows not covered, and if you are seen at all, you appear to be only taking a quick nap.

I would not be able to stand the idea of someone watching me sleep - that's too creepy!

Re: Practical Prepping Protocol even if Poor
Has anyone researched sufficiently to verify the best way to remove heavy metals and other poisonous yuk from rainwater?

Many of us plan to replace our water storage with what comes from the skies, and of course we will need to purify that water prior to drinking, cooking, etc with it.

Purification will not, I do not believe, remove what has been sprayed in the skies, perhaps fallen from all those satellites, and been sprayed, as in bunker fuel, near every coastline of the world.

So - do people have a plan for this? If so, would you be so kind as to share? Or perhaps we need a roundtable discussion so that we all put in some of the pieces and come out with a beautiful, workable plan for all of us.

Let's talk about this, please. Your input highly desired.

 Quoting: Pooka

You are limiting you own line-of-sight to see threats approaching your vehicle. Assuming you don't bugut alone, you should always sleep in shifts, with one person watching for threats while the other one sleeps.

Personally, if you are relying on your vehicle as your primary bugout method, you are setting yourself up for failure for multiple reasons. If you can get out of the city using your car, that's great, but you are eventually going to run out fuel or run into an obstacle you can't drive past, and you need to be prepared to continue on foot. We have three methods:

1: Vehicle, with bicycles mounted on the back.
2: Bicycles, if/when we cannot use the vehicle.
3: Walking, since bicycles will generally not get you through rough terrain.

Always have a Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C, minimum.

Someone here suggested a propane refrigerator. Refrigerators in campers are often propane. So I got a small one out of a camper. I actually have it running now. I have 4, 20 pound propane tanks and 2, 30 pound propane tanks. That amount of gas won't last forever, but it will last a long time. I keep the one I have running topped off. If I ever get a windfall, I'll get more 30 pound tanks. They were 50 dollars each on amazon and that included shipping.

I wish I had a big pig in the yard, but these tanks can be hidden from view easily and they belong to me. I think most of the pigs people have rent them from the gas company.

The propane fridge is so quiet. Very different than electric. Amazing it uses a flame to refrigerate.

Conventional wisdom is to get as far away from large urban centers as possible, which my wife and I have just done. But that is not a practical solution for most people living in the city, mostly because they have nowhere to go.

Prepping in place in the city requires some proper prior planning to avoid falling victim to the roving gangs of thugs who will be looking for supplies to steal from others. Having the knowledge and capability to hide in plain sight will be key to urban survival.

Something to add to preps that I found I wish I had when the pandemic locked us down was that I wished I had had some cheap craft items. Some are even free, but we hadn't gathered them before the lockdown.

So Dollar Tree is a good source and if you make pine needle baskets or grass ones or make cordage out of what you have around you, craft items can be free or nearly so.

Sometimes it's just good to do something with your hands. For some it might be knitting or crochet. If you have the materials before the SHTF, it helps mentally, to get through it.

When I was young, I read the Little House on the Prairie books. One of them was called the Long Winter. The Ingalls family was extremely poor, but they were able to make Christmas presents for one another. That's another reason to prep with a few inexpensive craft items or to buy your gifts early. I was thinking of that when the thread came up that Fauci was cancelling Christmas this year. (Like he has that authority.)

But in the book, they were able to still have Christmas even though they had so very little.

No matter what holidays you observe, preserving your traditions makes for great comfort, especially when times are dark.
