Never a problem with bugs. We make wheat biscuits couple times a week so our stock gets rotated naturally. Same with rice. 25 lb. bag of jasmine rice in the freezer for a week or more then store in it's original bag inside plastic buckets with screw lids. Never any bugs. Same with pasta. We also put bay leaves out on the shelves, does a good job keeping bugs away. Do the same thing here with the Flour and Rice, Sugar also! imo the Bay leaves do work! User ID: 77547432 Canada 11/30/2021 06:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | QUOTE by Fabian Ommar Author of The ULTIMATE Survival Gear Handbook and Street Survivalism Here’s a fun fact. Approximately one percent of the urban population in developing countries makes their living from scavenging. And more than 15 million people get their income from waste picking worldwide. Scavenging is a multi-billion dollar industry and a way of living for many, even in wealthy nations. It’s also one of the oldest economic activities known because living is consuming. Therefore we produce waste simply by existing. The type and amount of waste generated are constantly changing. The more wealthy and urbanized a society becomes, the more waste it will produce. A lot of folks think of scavenging as an activity that only happens after the SHTF, but it’s a way of life for many on the planet. Waste management is crucial. Most people are just content to have their trash magically disappearing from the front of their houses every day and give this no second thought. I suspect society, in general, would be a lot more discerning and restrained (and respectful) about consumption habits if a more significant number of people became more aware of this process and its implications, but I digress END QUOTE [link to www.theorganicprepper.com (secure)] Soulless fake humans are already AI. QUOTE For years now in grocery and garden stores, we’ve seen potted herbs, like basil, that are ready to take home, pop on a windowsill and begin harvesting. Next spring, for the first time, a whole new series of ready-to-harvest miniature tomatoes and peppers will start appearing on store shelves. European breeding companies have been developing miniature food plants for some time. PanAmerican Seed Company is an innovative seed-breeding corporation, based in Chicago, that sells its seeds through associated businesses to growers around the world. PanAmerican has been breeding new varieties of vegetables, annuals and perennials for many years, including the amazing line of lettuce blends called Simply Salad. The company will be introducing its new Kitchen Minis Series next spring. I had the chance to speak with Felicia Vandervelde, PanAmerican’s regional account manager and product development manager in Chicago, about these exciting new plants. Vandervelde gave credit to Susanne Villemoes, a breeder in Denmark, for developing this miniseries. She said the concept is to provide folks who have no garden space with the opportunity to pick and enjoy their own fresh produce. PanAmerican is focusing on three products: tomatoes, sweet peppers and hot peppers. Because of their miniature size, these plants fit nicely on small windowsills and once fully established, they’ll provide small, flavourful fruit for about 70-to-80 days. END QUOTE No, not an ad, just a good idea for small spaces. We grew out a birdseye pepper over the summer, got about 50 peppers, and look forward to more come Spring. Chillies are high in Vitamin B and C, fresh red chillies are believed to help boost collagen levels and great for maintaining healthy skin production and blood vessels. Vitamin-C (Ascorbic acid) – 240% Vitamin B6 – 39% Vitamin A, – 32% Iron – 13% Potassium – 7% So grow enough to have a pepper a day. Just take off the stem and swallow whole if you don't like heat. I just couldn't see some of the stuff they throw away some places going to the landfill. I scavenged a lot of stuff that I ended up cleaning up, fixing if needed and flipping on ebay. But scavenging might be considered looting after a SHTF scenario. So you gotta be careful that whatever you take is actually something the owner doesn't want any more. |

The magnetosphere is shifting around and the jet stream is becoming inconsistent in both southern and northern hemispheres, sometimes dipping down all the way to the equator. We are used to prepping here due to hurricanes and wild weather. I got a prepper gift that I got today that is a great item, something that no one thinks about getting. It's a STORM GLASS. It's a weather barometer that's a glass bulb with things inside it to read what the weather will be. It predicts winds, clouds, rain, sunshine and snow. The thing has had me mesmerized all day. It's the nicest gift I've gotten in a long time. But it is also a prepper item. Non-electric. But accurately predicts weather. Today we had a mix of all of it (but no snow). And I watched it form strings before the wind kicked up. I saw when we had rain and when the rain stopped, the sun came out. But some 15 minutes or so before, I saw that the rain would be stopping. It's very cool and helpful if you don't know what the weather will be and want to know. They make all kinds. Mine would fit in your palm and has stuff floating inside of it. They make more elaborate ones. Mine is very simple and I really love that thing. If you think you have everything, consider getting a Storm Glass. |

They saw what was coming – how things were taking a turn for the worse – and so they attempted to prepare for it. Then, the ironically named Justice and Development Party (AKP) submitted a bill to the Turkish Parliament asking for fines of anywhere between what would be $7000 – $144,000 USD for those “hoarding….food and other goods”. That was Step 1 in the criminalization of preppers. Step 2 took place this past week as 51 various Turks were arrested by police for “panic hoarding” new cars. Turkish media widely reported people were investing in new vehicles as a means of inflation protection. But this was deemed to be a threat. These 51 individuals were accused of “lowering dealership inventories,” which allegedly led to higher prices. The AKP fiddling around with their centralized banking system most certainly couldn’t be the cause. It must be the citizens’ fault that inflation is rocking the country. And so, anybody who attempts to protect themselves from totalitarians must be stopped. END QUOTE [link to www.theorganicprepper.com (secure)] Soulless fake humans are already AI.
