Re: I'd be quitting today if I was a cop.
The cop was either an idiot or a douchebag

If a guy claims he can't breathe why the fuck would you even go near his neck? Not even a junkie on 3x the lethal dose of fentanyl and meth would think of such a stupid idea.

Plenty of other restraints exists ya'll just don't like idea that a sober police officer can actually be a worse pos than a guy jacked up on drugs.

Cops aren't some kind of noble fucking heros out here to protect you, the are average ass joe's out here for the same noble ass reason anyone goes to work, cause it pays them. Cops wouldn't be out here risking their lives otherwise, they don't die trying to protect anything but their financial futures.

i think floyd ultimately died of an OD, but chauvins indifference to his limp corpse, and hauling him off like a rag doll at the end of the video is likely the real source of fury.

and honestly it is pretty contemptible. he seemed to have no regard for his life, junky or not.

Re: I'd be quitting today if I was a cop.
So would I. I can't imagine why anyone would want to be a cop under these conditions - these constant attacks and harassment and lawsuits over legit arrests and holds. Chauvin did NOT kill Floyd, he died from an OD. Anyone who watched anything of the trial KNOWS this.

This was a massive miscarriage of justice and sends a bad message to criminals all around the country. It's a warning to cops NOT to interfer with criminals, especially black criminals. I expect all the cities to burn. We have a cousin who's a cop in NY and I can't wait to hear what he will say....although I know. He's fit to be tied for some time now.

As for hubby and I, we had a BLM march through our remote suburb last summer which shocked us as we literally have almost no blacks out here. It's not an issue. I guess they just wanted to make a statement that we're not safe out here either. We are taking gun safety courses and hope to buy guns for each of us soon. Laws in Mass are very restrictive. Personally I'd prefer a shotgun but not sure I could handle it.

I think it would be a lot of fun with a shotgun. And I have a natural vicious streak so I'd probably enjoy using it. We're planning a trip to a gun range to try various out various firearms. My husband would prefer a pistol but I like something that would blast a significant hole and leave a real calling card.

As for Massachusetts, it sucks the big one but we've been stuck here because of elderly relatives. We're looking to move but everything is so unstable and we can't ALL fit into Florida and Texas! We might consider New Hampshire. But definitely - Massachusetts is truly one of the world's armpits.

20 years ago I watched a Eustace Mullins lecture at God's Promise Ministries

he said Rothschild controls the money

thus cops get paid by Rothschild Fed bank

thus cops are your enemy because they enforce the laws put in place by a foreign bank

so if cops quit

that means Rothschild enforcers are gone

hurray!

They want the cops off the streets completely by using accusation of incompetence so they can bring in swarms of DARPA type robot dogs and drones with weapons strapped to them, all programmed to deal with non-marxists.

They won't sleep, they will be bristling with cameras, sensors and anti-tamper devices. Its not sci-fi.

That's why they want the Police gone.

He took a near fatal amount of fentanyl (more than the amount found in the average fatal overdose). What role this played in his death is unknown. But even if it wasn't fatal, it probably effected him on some level and it is said that fentanyl causes breathing issues so even if he didn't fatally suffocate him it could still explain the "I can't breathe" shit. Whilst fentanyl overdose makes people lose their "hunger to breathe" (they're not likely to complain about it) I always take these descriptions with a grain of salt. I am not an expert who has experienced the range of cases to know whether or not there is any variability, any exception to the rule. Usually they're not black and white, there is some hunger/some suppression of the hunger, some shades of grey.

More likely though he was making up the breathing thing because he adapted what he said from "I can't choke" while in the back of the car complaining he is claustrophobic.

The more likely cause of death is heart attack brought on by his resistance to arrest that necessitated restraint, his heart disease, and his meth use (yes, small amount, but it all contributes). There is actual evidence leading to that conclusion courtesy of the unbiased chief medical examiner who concluded he died of a heart attack based on the available evidence. There is none leading to the conclusion he suffocated at the hands of Chauvin besides Floyd saying "I can't breathe" as has saying before he was pinned to the ground. No reasonable doubt? You've got to be kidding me. That jury are a bunch of fucking souless insects. And the prosecutions witnesses told half-truths to get him convicted.

if you are on a budget or are restricted to getting 1 firearm for whatever reason get a handgun.

it has far more utility than a shotgun as far as personal defense.

ammo really isn't scarce so much as just expensive so get something halfway affordable so you can train with it.

i recommend a snub or 4" revolver in common caliber, 38 special, 357 mag, can never go wrong there

or, a compact semi auto, like a glock 43, glock 42, or some prefer the sig 365. can't really go wrong with any, modern firearms are high quality, just be sure to train with it, and get a GOOD holster - don't skimp out! no mexican carry! even better is a holster with active retention if you don't need to do ITWB conceal carry, like a safariland holster - those are what the pros use.

No apparent obstruction to the arteries, and even if one was obstructed it would still not stop blood flow to the brain. No obstruction to the throat. He wasn't suffocating him. It was not a choke hold, it was not a neck restraint as they involve wrapping the arm around the neck. It was a pin aimed at his upper back but flowing over to his neck, which is in the rule book for passive resistance, the lowest level of resistance. Also the allegations of a second knee to Floyd's back were a fucking lie by the prosecution: he did not have the other leg to Floyd's back, it was aimed at pinning his arm and came across slightly on the back. It was not compressing his lungs.

But even IF all these arguments were valid, you still have studies that show positional asphyxiation to a non-obese, non-asthmatic is largely a myth and people could sustain weights far in excess of that which could have been applied by Chauvin on their backs. Not only were the arguments wrong, but even IF they were right they are still wrong as the science does not back them up!

That’s precisely what the Commies want, but I would too. Just make sure you help your community prepare and defend when this goes full scale civil war. Unfortunately, I’m almost certain that is coming next whether we like it or not (and I don’t say that lightly, or without significant analysis and some relevant/reliable intel over the years). Even more unfortunate, I believe that the (contrived) civil war will be the prelude to invasion and world war. Many of us may have no choice but to fight. I only hope enough of the American public wakes up to the traitorous charade by the time necessary.
Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth.
