It was only a category 2 when it hit land. I realize the Island was a little more susceptible to damage then the rest of the city. They have the power to create reality I could explain it better but I would need charts, graphs and an easel. By the way....which ones pink? |

User ID: 77638 United States 09/14/2008 04:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fema is fucking up AGAIN! Quoting: Cunning_linguist-1st responders have no food or water. And I mean no food or water for THEMSELVES. -Empty buses are driving between Austin and Houston. -Media Blackout over most of Galveston. -BOLIVER PENINSULA IS GONE. I'm talking Greensburg Kansas F-5 GONE! There HAVE TO BE MANY DEATHS. -No word on Nuclear and Biological Labs at UTMB. -fema has taken over working cell phone towers on Galveston so no residents can call in or out. This is BAD! and of course they leave all the good details off the news. We haven't heard much of anything regarding damage or casualties or anything. I am sure it will slowly be trickling out in easy to miss blurts and side comments. And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 113248 United States 09/14/2008 04:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Take care of your own backyard first...always! American government has forgotten this or stretched themselves so thin that they are no longer able meet the needs of the people during times like these. It's like reliving it all over again. We are praying for your loved ones and for all those in Texas and La. |

It was only a category 2 when it hit land. I realize the Island was a little more susceptible to damage then the rest of the city. Quoting: DouggieThe Mayor of Galveston told them NOT TO LEAVE. I have my elderly in-laws here with me now. They live in Galveston (23rd and Ave N). And the information that they are getting from friends and neighbors does not reflect what is being portrayed in the media. I actually spent the day preparing to go to Galveston and secure what is left of their property. So as soon as they let ppl back on the island, I will be there. De Bunker Hiding in a Bunker. |

Do you have a few first aid supplies for yourself...nothing major, but a few bandaids, peroxide, antibiotic ointment...a lot of trash everywhere ...just in case of cuts or abrasions. |

Others will come....from all over the U.S. It may just take them time to get there. |
