if all animals were to be vegetarian, it would cause an imbalance. If wolves stop eating the deer, the deer population would increase and cause suffering by competition. The deer food (plants or whatever they eat) would start to diminish while the population rises. Wolves would have to also start eating plants. Edible plants/ veggies would start becoming scarce. Learn some biology please and understand that ecology would be all screwed up if all animals were vegetarian.

OP, is this post really about 'why do folks still eat meat', and are you genuinely interested in knowing why meat is still being eaten or is this post merely about YOUR beliefs?

You are totally right OP.
I for one did go vegan, and it felt great...then grains started to be less satisfying and more fattening...happened around the 90-es. Most likely the beginning of GMO era, plus I lived and cooked for my hubby that time, an avid meat eater...I might go back there, but really hard being a vegan without grains

Have you tried not to?

I have another hunch..I think when the spirit is trained enough it helps the material..body..adapt to another diet and lifestyle..I think both go in tandem

By the responses we can see just how difficult it is as a question..and probably to stop eating meat altogether..

doesnt it make sense that whatever it was that was prohibited by God was something extremely addictive?

Two questions:

1. If Humankind is not supposed to eat meat then Who taught us to do so?

2. Where in Humankind's entire history is a vegetarian race that has survived to the present day? Where is the race that shows generation after generation of vegetarianism?

It's not about whether you choose to eat meat or wear fur/leather goods it's about how animals are treated. Far too often these two issues are lumped together; whilst encouraging an environment of misinformation and intolerance.

Treating animals with kindness and respect should be paramount and part of what we stand for as Humans.

Being grateful to ALL animals whose lives are sacrificed for our sustenance and comfort is something that should be practiced each and every day. And, all efforts must be made to ensure that their lives are void of fear and cruelty.

- Do we probably consume more than is necessary? Yes.
- Is the meat being sold in supermarkets today healthy? No.
- Is the PTB behind the vegetarian movement to weaken society and further divide the masses? Probably.
