no seriously guys would the find app really work? you don't need a celllar signal only a gps signal

I've been looking this up, and it seems the default response varies... but, yes, in at least some cases, it does give the caller a ring tone. See here, for instance:

I was getting really interested in this, but there isn't a story here after all.

i tried to remote view these phones, but i don't see them.

The headline statement is very suspect when you consider if any passenger phone is indeed ringing it can also be pinged for it's location!

There is a host of issues the authorities are NOT disclosing to the public!

When my personal cell is off or the battery is dead, the caller gets maybe one ring before going straight to voice mail...

So....I didn't catch how many rings the callers are getting on the missing phones

Well there only looking where the plane was last seen on the radar its possible it could of crashed anywhere of disintegrated in the atmosphere and debris spread all over the place maybe where humans don't even live just a point.

Or other scenario which a pointed out plane crashed but they survived in some kind of terrain mountain,rainforest,jungle who knows.

thats why im saying to the posters I quoted that their theories are incorrect.
if it was forced to land & still intact then they would have traced it & seen where it went on radar.

im saying it disappeared off radar so them theories about it being forced to land dont seem likely.

if a foreign power forced it to land somewhere then they must have used some cloaking device to get it off radar.

Ikr, I cant even get decent signal in my own home on T-Mobile.

YOU GUYS SEEM TO OVERLOOK THE FACT THAT THE WHOLE DAMN STORY IS MOST LIKELY BULLSHIT THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Even if a cell phone battery is dead, it will ring on the caller side.

The FACT that our mainstream news is not covering the story of the family members being able to call through is highly suspicious!

This two stolen passport/terrorist story seems like the official script and what they're pushing.

if they disabled the communications modules in the plane it would.. that's how they track these planes you know..

that person must have an exstensive knowledge of on-board electrics systems on the plane though..

You would think that under the circumstances having just lost a huge 777 and 239 people that you can't locate a trace of ...that you would want to explore every possibility... Even if just to assure the families who have missing relatives and the public in general ... That you have done everything that can possibly be done....

According to Singapore’s Strait Times, a Malaysia Airlines official, Hugh Dunleavy, told families that the company had tried calling mobile phones of crew members as well and that they had also rang. The company turned over those phone numbers to Chinese authorities.
