I would bet he is, and authorities are taking their time to identify those he may have exposed, and get them quarantined. If they release the positive now, many of those people may bolt; thus, exposing many others along the way.

If they lock us down, we are prepared to ride it out, but I've been a practical prepper for years. May pick up some nicotine patches this weekend for a just in case.

It tastes/smells pretty nasty, so that won't be hard.

For the folks who just want to dismiss this - either as a self-calming defense or they just don't want to believe it - the response of the Chinese government is a militarized total quarantine of 40 million people, 8 cities, and counting. This is NOT a normal response to 'just a little flu and cold deaths'. There is a real horror of death unfolding and its deadly serious. The Chinese leadership is treating it that way and so should all of us - at least in terms of recognizing this is the real deal. IT's happening...

On the Vit C~ You can use either Ascorbic acid or Sodium ascorbate.

We use Sodium Ascorbate here, We've managed to be beating back everything that comes our way this year.
Increase the dose til you start to get diarrhea. Then decrease the dose. There isn't a concern of too much, since anything your body doesn't use goes our in the urine.
We cover with a daily liquid Vit D3k2. Just to cover that base too.
Everyone around us has been sick for months and we keep trucking along little cold here or there but gone once we do a few doses of C.
