never played the game myself. and yet again, i did not claim a religion. i do however plead guilty to crudity. i tend to get that way when attacked by nonsensical opinions. and my point was simply to ask for verifiable facts to back up yer opinions. yer opinion is as valid as mine, but if ye want me to see it ye need to show me a reason other than cause ye are TELLING me.

ye all watched this van helsing and i responding back and forth to each other. i was crude, true. imo it was necessary to get past his smug self righteousness. for the record, i am not wiccan. i am not a shaman. and i am not a witch. i AM a pagan. it's my culture by birth and inclination. i must admit, i did kind of enjoy watching him get his feathers ruffled. my apologies if i hijacked the thread or offended. in truth, if he or another one like he comes back with the same kinds of attacks i would respond the same. i think all too often these kind of folks seem to win the day just because we are willing to let them get away with putting out false information or claiming to have authority with no one calling them on it. i'm tired of that myself.

for yer edification since ye seem to want to try to convert someone i'll outline what i believe for ye. then if ye want to wage holy war have at it. ye'll not win, but i suspect that isn't yer point.

i have no religion. i talk to plants and animals and they talk back to me. i talk to the creator all day and the creator talks back to me. the heart of the planet sets the rhythm of my days and nights. i have been visited by the dead and dying for help. not often fortunately, but a few times. i hate to kill, but i have. i don't ever want to again, but i will and i know that. and so ye know, i am not talking about killing people. every moment of every day of my life is filled with the spirit of the creator. that spirit is one of joy and life. there is no room in it for mean or spiteful. there is room to respond to an attack, but a willingness to respond to the lack of an attack too.

i was raised in a fundamentalist church. i would watch the speaking in tongues and listen to the preacher interpret. and every time i would wonder how any one could say that person was possessed by the holy spirit. it could have just as easily been a demonic possession. and i never trusted any human enough to think they could tell the difference from the silly noises. and after church i would listen to the christians talking about how everyone else was going to hell. i would wonder how they came up with that idea. i was just a kid, but even then the spirits of the land were willing to talk to me.

i don't have a religion. i've seen enough religion in yer pentecostal church to make me avoid religion for the rest of eternity. what i do have is a way of living that is filled with spirit. a way that is willing to let ye be a bigoted asshole so long as ye stop trying to make all of us bigoted assholes. i'm a pagan. all a pagan is is one who is of the land. that's me. no demons. no angels. no incantations or ceremonies.

Your church experience is no excuse for you to abandon Christianity. I have fellowshipped with about two dozen denominations in and out of pentecost. I have seen every religious scam there is in Christian churches. But I have also seen DOCUMENTED healings,exorcisms,pre-cognition in prophecy and every good charism as well.


Furthermore,as i have progressed in interior life and intercessory prayer i have had deeper communion with God along the way. I have been able to drive out devils. I stopped an epileptic fit mid-flight,because it was a spirit bringing the fit,and many other things through prayer. It's not me,or any latent power,it's Jesus.


now my experience is validated by MILLENNIA of souls who have walked the same path. In Eelyn Underhill's mysticism,mystics for thousands,not hundreds of years have experienced a DEEPER commitment specifically to christ through their communion and found that the Word in the Bible mirrored and magnified their interior walk. Their communal experience with other dedicated Christians enhanced their walk and their relation of the deep love and satisfaction in this walk is echoed by mystics and Christians down the ages.



Another source is "Deeper Eperiences of Famous Christians" by lason which relates how Spirit baptism empowered and radically changed the life and ministry of an interesting cross section of Christians I have seen this pattern in the lives of pentecostal men and women of my acquaintance,including my own wife. It is an experiential religious phenomenon but verified in the bible.



regrding the bible, there is a "rhema" Word that precedes the words on the pages of that book. It is spoken into the heart and mirrors and amplifies the words of holy Writ. Without this gift of faith and empowerment,that remains a closed book. And one mistake Pagans make is to confuse the true and false church. Frankly,where there is no miracles,no power,I do not believe there is a real church with the Living Christ present in the congregation. I KNO

If you have NO compunction whatever about trashing Christianity,Christians and Christ..it simply means that the Spirit of God has not gotten with 10,000 miles of you. If other spirit(s) have and you feel good about that...more's the pity. And the greater reason there is to warn you that you cannot play around with the spirit of God. He will leave and not return.

hogwash. i have no religion. ye can claim what ever ye wish, but that does not make it so.

i did not abandon christianity. i was never in it to abandon.

this sounds to me like an ego filled man wanting desperately to be an authority. yer gonna have to go elsewhere for that laddie, i ain't buying it. ye want to be an authority ye will have to prove it to me. yer claims are just noise in the wind. back them up with common experiences that i have and *maybe* we can work from there, but i will never yield authority to a mere man.

so i've read. and none of my reading indicated that this was the only path. in fact, there are many mystery traditions that have nothing to do with christ that make the same claims to depth.

yer attempts to paint yerself as some kind of expert are painting a different kind of picture. yer words are painting a picture of a person who has so little faith in the power of his god that he finds it necessary to bludgeon non believers into accepting his truth. if yer god has the power ye say ye believe he does that would not be necessary. yer words paint the picture of a man who keeps insisting that the emperor is fully clothed when he is in fact naked. a man who is afraid of being wrong.


i didn't blow off jesus. christianity blows off jesus. i didn't invent any religion either. and i don't spitefully mouth obscenities either. i mouth them for specific reasons. and by the way, i'm one of the other people. the ones the bible mentions as being inhabitants of the land that yer god was giving to the jews - after he had them kill the natives of course.
