I was thinking this morning how strange with the shops and panic buyers.
I was thinking with what is happening here in Australia is a carbon copy of what is happening in the US and the UK and everywhere else around the world I can find to read about.
Toilet paper seemed to be the starting gun.
I find it so strange that it is not similar it is exactly same behavior, actions as I wrote carbon copy almost, well … coordinated.
The time frame, the items being brought, the items now not available look for yourselves exactly the same, it could be called a little spooky.
Then I asked myself why is our supply chains to supermarkets
and shops so fragile? why is it that shops and supermarkets have been empty for the last couple of weeks, with small stock put back on shelves but nothing to indicate all is being sorted?
Then I thought, here it is two weeks and the major chain supermarket near me looks like and is stocked liked a really badly run small shop, nothing on the shelves, even after a couple weeks and in what is looked upon an extraordinary event a major supermarket chain cannot coordinate better supplies to their outlets to keep the supermarkets at least half stocked!
and it is not just the major chains, it is also the smaller operators and small corner shops … nothing, so I ask myself why? it is almost like they are winding down rather than ramping up.
Then I had an awful thought what if the virus is a cover for some other impending doom, what if there is another possible worldwide event that could be potentially more dangerous than the virus?
So what if the authorities believe it is better to have a slow build up of panic and acceptance of a virus coming rather than an absolute massive panic and hysteria breaking out over say something like, I don't know ... an asteroid?
Something seems odd from the beginning of this virus outbreak to me and I find the behavior or the so called panic buying even more odd, I don't know what an earth shattering event actually looks like who does?
