2 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Alameda, Solano counties

Two healthcare workers have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Alameda County and Solano public health departments.

Both cases work at NorthBay VacaValley Hospital and are currently in isolation at home.

One is a Solano County Resident and the other is an Alameda County resident, the first positive coronavirus case in Alameda County.

Officials say both had exposure to the community-spread case who is currently hospitalized at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. That woman is slowly recovering and her family members had a negative test result for COVID-19 and remain in quarantine.

Hospital staff identified all healthcare workers who had contact with the woman while she was hospitalized. Those workers remain in isolation or in quarantine and will not return to patient care until cleared.

I think at first the divisiveness will remain. But, the US typically pulls together under "wartime" conditions. And these will be wartime conditions. The wild card will be the outliers, both left wing and right wing.

I have used straw, sand, dirt, wood chips, sawdust, dried nettles, tried a lot of thing and the newspaper works best for me because it does not grow mold as easy as other organic matter. I think it is because they use bleach in the processing. Make sure your produce does not touch each other and only one or two layers. You can get 7 months or longer shelf life. Feel for ones that give a little, like a bit softer to use first. Do not let them freeze.

Bank of Japan made some announcement about stepping in to save the markets, or something like that. Saw a blurb about it at ZH, didn't bother to read - the markets are completely irrational at this point..

I find South Korea's death toll to recovered troubling. They have only 30 recovered to 22 deaths. Deaths are getting more and more each day. I am ready to start seeing the recovered jump higher.

Italy has hovered around 30% death rate for a week also. Was at 35% and dropped a tad today but news is that there is a lot of icu patients and doctors are troubled about beds.

Ok nor buying the Chinese numbers on recovered to deaths. It is bullshit. With people getting reinfected or just relapsing is also big time troubling. And we get very little information in the subject well beings.

Iran is fudging their numbers as we already know reported by countless and countless outlets and yet their deaths are 54 to 175 recovered and still sits at 23% clip and we know it is higher.

The death rate is not 2-3%. That is in a vacuum. In the real world outside a lab or study without outside variables at play it is much higher.

If my math is correct, South Korea has a higher percentage if its population infected by the novel corona-virus 4,212 in a population of 51.47 million than China, which as 80,026 infected in a population of 1.386 billion?

Iran alone proves this isn't a nothing burger. We have yet to sequence that strain. It seems deadlier by far and as infectious. Think of all the transcriptions it has done of its genome! And there is still MORE we don't know yet than we do regardless of what these fuckwads in camera keep espousing.

I believe it is a bioweapon and China has done very little to disprove thus theory. Since you can't observe a virus in action live in a human host you must rely on observation outside the host.

What I feel certain about is that a few countries are hiding their deaths behind mounting pneumonia cases like Vietnam or Thailand. Believe it was Vietnam that has a sharp rise in "respiratory distress" deaths lol.

And the recovered to deaths in China started being cooked weeks back to bring down that death rate. It was obscene it was so obvious.

A study of these cases found that the median days from first symptom to death were 14 (range 6-41) days, and tended to be shorter among people of 70 year old or above (11.5 [range 6-19] days) than those with ages below 70 year old (20 [range 10-41] days.[6]
Median Hospital Stay

The JANA study found that, among those discharged alive, the median hospital stay was 10 days.[9

Likely China lied about numbers or massive lockdowns. Who knows

The first patient is an adult Manatee county resident without travel history to countries identified for restricted travel by the CDC. This person did seek health care, is isolated and will continue to remain isolated until cleared by public health officials. The Florida Department of Health is working closely with the patient, their close contacts and health care providers to isolate and monitor persons who may have been exposed to COVID-19 and implement testing of anyone who may develop COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

The second patient is an adult resident of Hillsborough county with a history of travel to Italy. This person is isolated and will continue to remain isolated until cleared by public health officials.

COVID-19 can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth, including when an individual coughs or sneezes. These droplets may land on objects and surfaces. Other people may contract COVID-19 by touching these objects or surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth.
