San Francisco Giants cancel March 24 game


The San Francisco Giants announce it's canceling their preseason exhibition game against the Oakland Athletics at Oracle Park on March 24 due to a ban on large gatherings in the city and county.

There are 39 new cases of coronavirus in New York state, bringing the total cases in the state to 212, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said during a news conference today.

Here are where the new cases are being reported:

9 in Nassau County, Long Island
5 in Suffolk County, Long Island

No specifics yet. She was told the closure will be for 2 weeks. Now..of course, this sounds stupid and that is how you know this intel is authentic.

We here in GA are in for a Rude awakening. Numbers here are gonna Jump astronomically because we have one of the busiest International Airports and a HUUGE asian population.

Those numbers out of Italy are extremely disturbing.

the talking heads are all getting similar numbers to telegraph to the public. Then need to justify what is very likely about to happen. shut.it.down.

although I don't see that this will be catastrophic to any real degree as far as deaths are concerned,(maybe 500,000 actual) the cumulative affect across the board WILL BE.

NOT a 6.6% mortality rate. We wont know what the true rate is unless we start testing everyone. A lot of ppl are asymptomatic or with mild symptoms and not seeking help.

Trump address at 8 p.m. Central Time from the Oval Office. That can't be good news.

Testing is mainly used for tracking and identifying.... Its used for allocation of resources based on test results.

The CFR is likely to rise even if tests prove positive and mild symptoms occur..... WHY??

The health system is now at SATURATION point... there are now no new ITU beds and those that could benefit from them cant... They are simply not there.

Sadly... the CFR will rise.

Please post a link showing that your assertion that there are a lot of asymptomatic cases is accurate.

Yep, I have Jax international airport 20 minutes from my house.

Really. I think my neighbor has it. Suddenly developed a fierce pneumonia, was in the hospital four days. Sent her home still sick. Scary. There are two known cases in town. So that be like when ya see two cockroaches...
