I have a strange but horrible question for the One People. Every now and then I come across stories of sacrifice. Some are bizarre and others are just horrific. The sacrifice ritual I would like to ask is about human sacrifice, specifically children.

Did the elder people of those times just think this stuff up? Was there some kind of influence that made them think the Gods would be favorable with these rituals?

I cannot fathom women turning their babies over to priests to be burned alive in a sacrifice.

I cannot fathom how anyone could justify torture and death to satisfy Gods.

I don't see how priests could talk people into these concepts, perhaps under the guise of nothing else is working, the Gods must have blood. But then I can't wrap my head around people that follow prophets and drink kool aid knowing it's laced with strychnine. Ugh!

Is this just a twisted ugly part of the past here? Is sacrifice practiced by other beings on other planets in other solar systems?

Was it just some human idea to subdue people and keep them in fear by creating tortuous sacrifice?

Really Truth2 , Really, I'm really struggling to maintain this body, depression anxiety, the works, I know I have a family and Job and I should be happy right ? well not exactly , that doesn't mean complete happiness, I don't want to explain everything that brings me to depression but thanks to ST , truth2, Nut , wispy and friends for keeping me to continue on coz if it wasn't for all the knowledge I've learned over the years maybe my depression would have been much worse and I wouldn't be here. ST. I lost my Moqui Thanksgiving Day. He decided to cross the high road and was hit and killed. I am so sad. He was the one whom I had to treat his eye to keep from going blind. I mentioned him a few months ago.

Anyway, why he went on the road I do not know. H was a tuxedo cat . He had the right eye surgically removed and was almost blind in the left one.

If you see him on board, please let him know I loved him and still do. If you see him, please let me know. I am so distraught.

Truth, a week or so ago he was missing for overnight and I looked everywhere and called and called. It was in the middle of the next day that I found him siting on the tank house. ( had only done this but once a few years ago and was gone a week.).

While I was looking for him, I thought he might have gone onboard. Like they do when they go awol. And then I ask about them and suddenly appear back home. so anyway..

I wondered if he had asked to go home and they let him.
I don't know why that crossed my mind, but a while back ST said about some kitties being hit and killed as it was their way of going home.

I get some of the strangest thoughts out of the blue. And if I even verbalize them, I get the strangest looks.... so I don't say anymore. I just think it to myself. Sometimes, I just think I am losing it.

But thank you for the thoughts.
