Think of it this way though: those of us in the USA and Canada (I'm in Canada) have had it so good for so long with gas prices being low and so many people being so prosperous for so long. Sure it will suck to lose/cut down on all our major conveniences, but much of the rest of the world has been living without these conveniences already. We're just going to be on more level ground with the rest of the world. It will be hard though since we're so used to having certain things (cars,huge variety of cheap food from grocery stores,video games etc). Will take some adjustments. As to what to do if everyone loses their homes etc? Not sure what then.. maybe ST has some ideas? Hard to learn to "live off the land" if the government owns all that land. Another big problem I see is that even if we adjust our living standards, our food air and water supplies are being poisoned by TPTB. I don't see how we can beat this. ST in BG has not exactly painted a picture of hope of us being able to overcome such things. We can try to eat organic, but organic is expensive, and with the economy going down, it's going to be harder to afford anything but the chemical burgers and such that are served up at fast food restaurants. So what to do about this.. not sure.. maybe someone reading has ideas? Growing your own is fine for some of us that live in houses, what about the people living in apartments though? Keep on keepin on buddy, do the best you can just take it a day at a time. Hopefully help will arrive soon. This human got skipped st in bg. |

Since we dont have the same kind of predation and selection mechanisms as animals living in the wild do, often many of us survive that most certainly be killed in a predator-prey scenario. So therefore we continue to be able to pass on our genes to future generations even though many of them cause much hinderance to our lives. Obviously having our food,water and air poisoned doesnt help either. Also, why is it that intentional suicide seems to only exist within the human population. Animals do not to my knowledge intentionally commit suicide. Is suicide in humans something that has only more recently come into play as we reached the technological age and got further and further away from nature? In your opinion, if you are allowed to say so, do you think that more and more people are becoming aware that we have been manipulated and controlled and are living in a falsely contructed world of illusions? Or is the opposite true and more people are being lulled into a deeper slumber by the capitalist system of profits and materialistic living? Thank you. |
