How does one discern that a being means no harm although they are so much larger and so different.

I am trying to condition myself to not be fearful of such large "fear invoking" beings... and realizing that a "smile" from one...may appear full of teeth and fangs that are also scary looking.
We have been conditioned with fear for most of if not many of our lives, and often falsely so.... thus working toward turning those feeling around takes efforts and imagination thus your descriptions do indeed help.

I had to laugh when you said one should keep themselves busy, and at the same time be ready to move at a moments notice.... there is really nowhere to "move" to... even though I live in a very precarious place, close to the sea, and lower than sea level, there is no sense in running to a car and trying to move away... one would be stuck in a traffic jam with all others who are trying to "get away" where there is really no place to get away to....
I doubt there is any "easy way" out of these shells "bodies"...perhaps it was not easy getting in..I don't remember that part...but I do believe it (the getting out) will be sustained and live goes on...perhaps (hopefully) for the better.
Looking forward to meeting you (and being able to be aware of it and remembering it).

Forgive my language as English is not my first language, but i will try to expand on a few terra things that i hope you can comment on. This will enter ideological and perhaps political issues. If you could also comment on how the Universe thinks about the "way of life", i would be very happy. How does your race do things?

The society that we live in is pretty narrow. We in a very simple terms basically go to school, find a career, get married, get kids, retire and die. The means that we live off, money is also necessary to function. Without money, you cannot support yourself or your family. This is how Earth works at the moment. Money is unfortunately a daily thought in human minds.

The materialistic need that most, if not all humans have has in recent years been termed as something negative. We buy shit we don't need. Saying that you do not crave the materialistic stuff that is available is a lie, but it is in human nature, the old sleeper "hunter" instinct. This is simply my opinion, so if you disagree, disagree.

Now, i think the reason this is, is because not because we're dependent on buying shit we don't need. I believe it's simply a misunderstood action that we we do to create a sense of accomplishment for ourselves. Millions of people dream of winning the lottery to be able to buy more shit we don't need, but the most important aspect of this is that i believe this is untrue. We are dreaming of the big lottery winnings simply because we want to buy ourselves the freedom that we crave so that we can do things we would like to do, instead of things that we feel that we have to do. Millions of people have jobs they hate, but in order to support yourself...

If i won the lottery, i would probably buy a new car and a house etc (protect your own, also an instinct) , but the most important thing for me is that i could quit my job and go do something that i would love to do, continue to write more music or fix computers for others for free which i do today as well.

The second aspect is that human made goods is made to break early and often so we are really "forced" to buy shit we don't need.

Now, i am sure all aliens have a function in society, for humans, it's also a necessity since we feel the need to belong to something, but how does it work in your end of the galaxy? I am sure you guys also have an economy of some sort, but how does it provide for your people?
