Day Advertising Money: $62798 Revenues: $26744 That's from a whois on one of their sites. That's a deficit. Where's the extra $36,000 coming from? I can't find any other source about China agreeing with the west. All I can find is they don't wanna say jack either way. RAGE |

Chinese might occupy some cold resource rich unpopulated territories as their "contribution" to the "coalition". Stranger things have happened. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55412272 Funny you mention this. A Ukrainian truck driver who gave me a lift in California recently, told me that Russian towns near the Chinese border are majority Chinese. He made a good point that China could easily split Russia in half as central Russia has little to no population or defense. He thinks they will eventually do this and take a big chunk of Russia's natural resources. And china could do this easily. Russia has an aging population and half the young are hooked on drugs and vodka. China would win, easily. Russia has a doctrine of pre-emptive use of nuclear weapons if losing a conventional war on its homeland. China will be happy to lease some land as they have in Ukraine and other parts of the world. Coming with money is easier than coming with guns. Sun_dancer |

Quoting: RBR Russia is ranked 148th in the world on the press freedom index. [link to en.wikipedia.org] That's not to say our press is totally free either. Our media is sometimes tricked by false flags. I'm sure we have plenty of spies infiltrating our news networks. There are also corrupt journalists selling their souls in the marketplace for propaganda. On the press freedom index the United States is ranked 32nd and Britain is 29th. Not the most fantastic scores but still significantly better than Russia. It's good to question things but we also need some perspective. Putin is not a great symbol of freedom and democracy. Please go on US television and speak of the 9/11 incident and go on TV in your country and speak of the banking cartel or pedo rings leading to highest positions even royal family. See where you go - good luck! Russia is curbing the NGO propaganda that has formed the wonderful Arab Springs - with over 900 NGO's, I'd say there's a little more "freedom" in regards to politics, expression of opinion and journalism than anywhere else. How many Russian funded NGO's are operating? 2 - a whopping 2. 1 in France and 1 in the North America. Freedom and democracy is not a blue print that can be applied to each country the same way. Won't work. So that' slogan is a bit worn out. Well the tabloid press keep going on about the princess Diana conspiracy theories, so there is at-least some freedom. I agree that there are problems. It's probably got a lot to do with the fact that our journalists come from universities where they are taught to get their information from authority. Most of the people I went to university with wouldn't touch conspiracy theories with a barge pole because they have a soft, gentle, naive view of the world. They don't understand that the police and intelligence agencies can be corrupt. They've never heard of fascist satanism. They don't know that there are sociopaths in our government. They haven't taken the time to think about how ideas of the British empire could motivate people to manipulate the media. It's a kind of self censorship. Good point, that's part of the reason only though. Look who owns all the major publications in your country, look at which boards they sit and then do the same thing globally. All run by the same people with an agenda carefully protecting their own interests. When someone dances out of the line and does his own thing, he's quickly eliminated, and there's several ways to do that. Discredit, smear by various scandals either sexual or financial, block/ban/ruin their outlet or worse! But don't worry, they can't stop the flow of info - it will soon catch up with them. Big wake up call happened in your Parliament when Syria was voted against - that was real people power. It can happen and will happen again, soon. And then its game over. Man, you just woke some poor lost soul. You have the power! |

In other words, Russia is demanding that the West completely betray those who stood on Kiev’s Independence Square for three months demanding change in their country. The protesters would have to swallow the return of the ousted Mr. Yanukovych, plus the end of their dream of joining the EU. For good measure, Moscow would get the U.S. and EU to recognize its coming annexation of Crimea. [link to www.theglobeandmail.com] |

Meaning they rule with 30% or less of actual popular support... The last TWO Republican candidates, McCain and Romney were consistent 30%ers in the GOP primary races... Bush in 2000 was a 60%er. So yes, it's possible that the hardcore islamist turn at robbing the Turkish people is just about over as secular and moderate forces join to sweep them away. |

A very stupid move. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49032698 It will make it easier to destroy their shit using shorter range weapons while remaining on Russian territory. If those asshole Nazis had any brains, they would be moving ALL their shit across the border into Poland. Instead of right up in the Russians face... Dumbfucks! The Ukrainian army is not as small and weak as you think. It still has hundreds of tanks, as well as powerful MLRS "Uragan" [link to en.wikipedia.org] It has multiple air defense systems S-300 and S-200, and many more. The question is: is anyone properly trained to use them? And: how many are loyal enough to the junta to use them? Remember the mass defections in Iraq? Sun_dancer |
