I've asked why in your opinion Russia even entered WW1, not why it did not win in it. And "another case" is a bit earlier than WW1. A century earlier actually. And why should have Stalin trusted the Allies exactly? No offence to soldiers of Western countries that actually fought, but the political leadership was not really trustable - on his personal experiense.
