'Oblasts' are like a province or state for the westerners. Putin has already won this stand-off. If Ukraine sends it's far-right militia to crack down on the newly independent regions they are going to face ever increasing hostility in the regions they still hold. Also, the more violence they commit against their own citizens, the closer they will get to a Russian 'invasion' actually becoming a welcomed Russian 'intervention' on humanitarian and peacekeeping grounds. If they take the sensible option and enter into talks aimed at a peaceful, unifying solution instead of attempting to rule through violence, Russian interests will surely be part of the negotiations. Like others have said, all Putin has to do now is sit back and wait. Twice in a year, Russia has totally beaten Western war machine without having to fire a shot, first in Syria, now in Ukraine. It is indeed Russian propaganda to call someone Nazis or Fascists, it just provokes an emotional response in them, there does not need to be any truth behind it, anyone who opposes them are automatically "fascists", the meaning of the word is completely watered down to them. There are real Ukrainian patriots out there who love their country and are defending it against Russian aggression, ofcourse on the flip side the west isn't any better, but being anti-Russian aggression doesnt automatically mean you are pro-western, these poor chumps are just caught in between, just like my country. But he may be wrong in the sense that there may be some fake implanted factions there for provocations. But really there are no fascists or nazis, thats just the same kind of boogyman word for Russians, as "terrorist" is for Americans. And we all know who the real terrorists are. France has banned voting on syrian election in france for the syrians who reside there. Amazing democracy!!! It is ironic since most syrians living in france are expected to support european views. Yet the poll showed that mose people were going to vote for Assad. Hence the ban. 2014 has been a very interesting year. People all over are voting for their rights. Only this time they are able to see the reality as it happens. Internet is the downfall of tptb. Western leaders attitude is going from bad to worse as they watch their empire collapse. Very soon the rats will abandon the ship. There will then be scuffles between themselves and testifying against each other to save their own skin. For eu, nato and usa.
