Quoting: bigD111 Then I did some more running around, and after a couple places, I was driving and looked at the clock, and it was 3:33! I laughed about that, and headed home. Unloaded and put away the things I got in town, came in and got on my computer. Eventually, I glanced down to see what time it was, and it was 4:44! I should have bought a lottery ticket! :kramerwhoa: LOL, not nearly as exciting, but the first time I woke up today (in my comfy bed, in my pitch black bedroom) it was 2:11. Rolled over and went back to sleep. Next time I woke up it was 3:11. I can sleep... ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

User ID: 76795039 United States 09/30/2018 12:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nothing too thrilling. I decided to take advantage of no plans and get some projects done. Namely the rematting and reframing of some artwork I have. Even though I moved over a year ago, I still don't have most of my artwork hung. I've hung a few things, and I have several pieces out and leaning, but I want it on the walls! I waited because I wanted to address the framing/re-framing issues before I determined where certain pieces would go. And clearly I've been lazy about addressing the framing issues. Last night after work I got some matting cut (needed odd sizes) and also found new frames for 2 pieces. Today I'm going to hit a few more places because I need one more frame. I'm going to work on getting those together and also doing a thorough cleaning off of my other art that's been sitting around collecting dust. If I have time today I also have a few pieces I want to take to a frame shop. And there's one in my neighborhood literally at the end of the block, so it's ridiculous I haven't been in there yet. I also want to watch our last 2 baseball games today/tomorrow. We have a very slight chance of getting the 2nd wild card spot. Need to win though, and we need L.A. to lose. And I'm making soup tomorrow! And I want to spend intermittent periods outside on the patio, because it's going to be a lovely 75 today! Quoting: InterMezzo We are still quite a bit away from bankruptcy and we won't go down without a fight, but I see it lurking in the future with such distant financial management and a practically invisible Sales organisation (all new people appointed as well there in the top, who have no clue about printing and marketing, but still make like 400K a year at least.) It is just utterly frustrating to see a beautiful company, with so many beautiful, hard working people, getting ruined by a puppet master board, whose only game is to shove money from one gap to the other and carry no risk themselves at all. Being a manager myself, it makes me admire my crew even more, because despite the tension, they keep putting all energy in it, day after day. It makes me a lucky and proud guy. I know it is not just our company. It breathes through society. I just hate it when so called leaders are so ignorant toward the people they are supposed to lead and only do what they do for their own personal gain. I know I am naive, but that is why we should always put trust in our own strength and believe in those around us and the people who are dear to us and take a stand against those who pretend to mean the best for us, but are only in it to fatten their own wallet. Okay Che Guevara, better quit before this turns into M.S.A.R (Mezzo's Saturday Afternoon Rant.) I think I may have to copy your soup plan! : ) Well, it's kind of a hodgepodge of things. I'm using homemade turkey stock that I've had in the freezer (that's the key), but I don't have turkey meat so I'm using chicken in the soup. Will add garlic, celery, carrot, onion, tomatoes, parsley, kale, mushrooms and orzo. I usually prefer barley in soup, but for some strange reason I have 2 packages or orzo, which I rarely eat, so I'm gonna use some of that. I think I'm craving soup because we finally had some fall weather this past week. Unfortunately it's going up to the mid to upper 80's all this week, but I'm making soup anyway in protest. Sounds delicious! I've just been turned on to Orzo this past summer, thanks to Hello Fresh and I love it!! Some nice rustic bread would be good with that soup. I saw a hint on pintrest that if you bake bread at home you should put a few ice-cubes in a tray on the rack under the bread. It will create steam and you'll make perfect bread. Oh, get this - it's going to be mid to upper 80's here all this week! Fucking summer! What kind of soup will you be making? I think I may have to copy your soup plan! : ) Ha, I asked the same question. We're always on the same page! :s27frozenhug: ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Quoting: Isis One All of the above plus Capt and many more. Some of whom cannot post anymore. Some of whom can, and I wish would. I think I am depressed. Not something I wanted to admit, but I think it's something I need to hurry up and talk about. Might call around for a counselor. I really need someone to talk to and I don't feel like I have anyone in my bs 'real life'. Sorry for the over-post. :\ Not even sure how exactly to go about it all. My 'vacation' was eye opening and made me feel more alone than ever. I was really hoping that the family time would bring me back to life. It ended up only killing me further. I cried myself to sleep our last night there. Secretly. Nef didn't know. I also ended up getting out of bed and going to the living room there. Pulled out the sofa bed and slept (sorta) out there. No bueno. Emptiness. I too miss them and hope they are safe or at least give a sign of life. And as for you Sim, you are far too young and precious to be falling to depression. You saying it out loud must be signal enough to tell you to find someone to talk to who can help you at least determine how to deal with what is going on inside your mind. You are a beautiful soul, you came from so far and you deserve to be happy in every aspect of your life. I know in your daily 200 mph life time is your enemy, but time is key to find peace within yourself back again. You have made and gone through big changes in your life. That made big impact, with both positive and negative effects. You will find your way up for sure, like you have proven so many times before. And if you need help with that, don't hesitate or feel bad. You are not alone! Love you much. |
