Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.0 South Sandwich Islands*5.0 Indonesia ~ Pg 20447 It does sound scary Sim. Can't deny that at all and it is only logical that that gives you even more anxiety. But we must also not forget that technology and skills have advanced so much the past decades. CT and other scans nowadays give us much more information too. On one side that is scary, because there is so much more terms, measurements and other notes and reports and information available for both doctors and patients, but it also gives the opportunity to give all involved more clarity about the stage a disease is in and all that and what can be done to stop the symptoms at an earlier stage. And that gives the much needed hope to hold on too, next to the actions that need to be taken to get the healing process going and set priorities for both doctors and patients. I know, the above doesn't mean a fuck if you are overwhelmed by anxiety and emotions that go with all that you see and read and especially you with your long history of bad advises and countless doctors visits, but maybe at one point you find the calm back and look at it from a solving perspective toward the future and know that there is so much more that can be done today than years ago. Most important is also to be pro active toward the doctors as well. Do not take no for an answer or have them schedule an appointment to far ahead. Don't wait for their call, call and if it takes to long for them to answer, call again. Our body is our body and not an agenda item. I sent you a link in pm as well. Maybe that gives a bit more insight as well, even though you probably already have it as an experience expert. My thoughts are with you, Nef and Mini. Don't give up hope and don't rule out the advanced medical standards of today. Things will be okay. Quoting: InterMezzo Thank you Mezzo. Your words always mean a fuck to me. : ) I'm trying so hard to stop dissecting these results. This is not easy for me to do as I become obsessive wanting to educate myself as much as possible before speaking with the doctor so that I know a little about what's going on. It helps me to understand them when we do speak. And helps me to know if we aren't getting the attention needed. Also helps me to go insane lol. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Of course, I have no idea what most of that means, but it sounds scary. Do the doctors fear he has lung cancer or is that something you came up with on your own based on something in these results? How is he coping with all this? How are you doing? I'm really sorry, this is a lot to deal with. Quoting: KickinIt We both have our current/recent health records available to us online through a patient portal available by our network. I just so happened to log on to his today shortly before leaving work to see if his CT scan results were in and sure enough, there they were. I've been Googling this network's results for about 3 years now for myself. I only research medical links and, for the most part, at this point I can quickly learn how to read, and understand, test results from our network. These results look bleak. I don't know if I just used that word appropriately, but I do know what these results are pointing towards. This isn't cool. :\ Quoting: Simple27 Will there be a follow up appt. for him to talk to the docs about the results? Quoting: KickinIt Yes, the technician who wrote the CT scan report suggested a pulmonary consultation to 'determine direction of further assessment'. That's for the incidental findings to do with his lungs and the tumor found and the swollen lymph nodes found. Separately, we are waiting to hear from the cardiac surgeon on whether or not he's a candidate for the bypass surgery. I'm not sure based on the results of the CT scan that he will be. But I'm not spending time on that end of the results. I'm truly more concerned right now with the tumor on his lung. His heart has so much blockage that if it hasn't killed him yet, it's not gonna anytime too soon. Or at least not sooner than what's going on with his lungs. Imo based on what I've read. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Metro area overall has anywhere from 8-10. Approximately 4 more inches today/tonight. We are supposed to have a high of 34 today, so there could be a bit of melting. They are also saying at some point there will be rain or freezing rain vs. snow, I guess during that period we are above-freezing. Weird, man. Tomorrow when this tapers off they also talked about a little freezing rain or sleet. It's absolutely gorgeous outside. And so wonderfully quiet. Over on the weather thread I think MoN convinced me to bundle up at some point and go out for a walk. I've been debating, because it sounds like a lot of effort in a foot of snow. Also worried about falling since I still have a bad shoulder. But I don't have to go too far to get some good pics in the 'hood that are a bit more scenic than the view from my house. That idea has been around for decades, but now new observations back it up. The astronomers who conducted this study say our skies must be filled with these crystal white dwarfs. They also point out that – long after it has swollen up as a red giant and swallowed the Earth – our sun is destined to become a crystal white dwarf, too, billions of years from now.
