But how many shit troll threads do you see on the front page?
To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

A rock in bad hands killed Abel. A rock in good hands killed Goliath. It isn't about the rock.

A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him.

Oh my God...video of the fire in LA...

[link to i.imgur.com (secure)]
 Quoting: CuriousSeeker

These videos are horrifying. I would not feel comfortable driving anywhere near that immense heat.

My brother is in the L.A. area. Emailed me today saying they were out of harms way and weren't overly concerned because the wind was blowing away from where he is. However, I can't help but worry because the wind can change direction in a moment, and it's so dry in that area it spreads quickly.

Prayers for your brother, Kickin. Those fires are no joke. rose

Has anyone ever checked the data to see if particular times of day in a given region have more earthquakes than others, or if it is random, or if it varies by region?
Quoting: a Dude, not THE Dude

I have not but it's an interesting idea. I know it feels like the big ones always happen overnight when I'm in bed. Probably not the reality, but it always feels that way :)
 Quoting: KickinIt

I've noticed the same. And I've noticed that a lot of the significant quakes also take place while I am driving home from work, between 5:00pm and 6:00pm Eastern Time.

Tis' a BIG upgrade!

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
I'm checking in too quickly.

Life is busy, daily.

Had a major technical work-related issue this week that falls under the category of my problem to fix unfortunately. Took me two days to resolve it. Good times, ugh! But all is fixed and I've learned a whole lot more about our system.

Got some Christmas present wrapping done tonight. Made me realize that I need to get more gifts. A lot more. Just sigh. Never enough time. Never enough money.

Best news of my day, my week, my year....

My uncle is breathing on his own now!! I need more to this update, but that alone is just freakin' awesome!!! : )

My mini has been suffering from severe headaches the past couple of weeks. Need to get her to the doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. She wore glasses when she was younger, so I'm wondering if the headaches might have something to do with her eyesight. I'm on it, and will schedule her an appointment.

I'm tired. Very tired. Most of the time.

I'm busy, overworked, etc.

But I am grateful. I am grateful to even be able to complain about my petty problems. I'm grateful for every single thing that I take for granted when I am not reflecting on what I'm grateful for.

I am soooooo grateful (thank You GOD) that my uncle is able to breathe, without mechanical help, tonight.

Needed to get that all out. : )
