really parallax or swamp gas....you guys are so funny. Really maybe someone will give us more info tomorrow.
I'll be looking but got a busy day tomorrow..looking for new digs..life is an adventure..
Quoting: finley Good Luck on your adventure.
Prayers you find a happy home :)
Quoting: AKObserver Thanks for the prayers.. I found a apt. for my daughter and me. Been going through a lot myself and can use the prayers. I wish we could all be happy. I feel pretty good healthwise now and I pray you get well.
I looked at all the detox stuff online last night. Drinking a gallon of pure distilled or spring water if healthy.
Sounded good and have increased my water intake.
Blessings always.
Quoting: finley To detox, distilled water would be better. Personally I'd use that in conjunction with some activated charcoal. After the charcoal starts to pass, you'll be able to tell as your stools will be black, take a heavy dosage of magnesium citrate either via supplemental pills or by drinking water with a bunch of dissolved Epsom salt. (make sure you are near a toilet for the next 6-12 hours, and well stocked on TP. You're going to need it)
The charcoal will absorb many of toxins in your body so they can be passed, by adding the magnesium after the charcoal you are essentially purging your system. Make sure you stay hydrated, but I would eat very light, or not at all, for the couple days you spend detoxing.
Charcoal is extremely effective at scrubbing your body of all foreign substances. In fact so good, that most prescriptions and supplements will be removed from your body. It's very important you understand this, especially if you are on medications that you cannot go a day or two without them and not have serious consequences.
On a side note, I keep capsules of activated charcoal with me all the time. Any time you have a sour stomach, such as the morning after a night of heavy drinking, pop 2-3 capsules and you'll feel better in an hour or so. Works well if you're stuck eating food that you wouldn't normally, such as when you're on the road for work or vacation.
Now back to distilled versus spring water. Distilled water is going to be completely absent of all minerals (electrolytes). Due to this, it is better for detox as you will not be adding more to be removed from your body. That said, don't continually drink distilled water after your detox as it will leach your body of needed electrolytes. This is where spring water comes in. Spring water tastes the way it does due to the minerals it contains and is better than tap water or regular bottled water (Dasani, Aquafina) at adding natural minerals/electrolytes to your body. Most municipal (tap) water supplies and bottled water, such as Dasani, have minerals added back in, after an intensive filtering process, to give the water flavor. These minerals are added in certain dosages, no different than you taking vitamin supplements, but just like your vitamin supplements they are not always from 'natural' sources and your body may not recognize them or utilize them as they should be.
After your detox, make sure and get some electrolytes and other minerals/vitamins back into your system by eating some well balanced meals and drinking plenty of non-distilled water. Also, if you normally take magnesium supplements I would hold off for a day or two after your detox as you will add a huge amount of magnesium to your body when you started the detox.
If all you have is regular bottle water or simple tap water get two full glasses (or two bottles), in one add a teaspoon of sugar, in the other add a teaspoon of salt (table, sea, Kosher). Consume both these glasses and that will help your electrolyte balance. (in the military I kept sugar and salt packets in my gear so I could add them to my canteens when I ran low on electrolytes due to sweating)
Okay, back on topic!
So, will it be sun doom or quake doom this week? Perhaps both....
