deano, no dinner pics tonight? We had homemade sausage and bean soup with Italian Grilled Cheese. Thank God I made a double batch, or my son would have starved tonight. Family was eyeing the bowlful left, wanting to finish it off.

How on earth is Coquimbo, Chile still existing? Every time I come into this thread, it seems like they've had about 20 earthquakes a day. hiding

Hoping WAH KEEN isn't going to turn like some folks are suggesting. I read earlier that Virginia might be a target- oh good grief, I had to get off the computer and busy myself with other things, before my nerves got shot.

What is so weird about this is my father-in-law lives near the ocean in SC, and he said they got some rain, but not too much. His area so far hasn't been hit too hard, thank God. My brother-in-law and his family are in NC, but a couple of hours away from the ocean, thank goodness. They got some rain, but not too bad, nothing like Charleston. Those poor people, my heart goes out to them all.

I read about the caskets coming out of the ground in some local cemeteries- that is just horrible!

Really hoping Joaquin stays away from us. There was an obvious westerly turn/movement earlier. The satellite loop unfortunately ended just as it made that bump towards the west. Just gotta keep watching.

I don't care what the forecast 'tracks' say.

Is it me, or is this storm a slow moving one? It seems like it is just slowly creeping around, freaking everybody (yours truly, I admit!) out over if it will or won't hit land or get near the East coast, anyway. The sucker is huge, I truly wouldn't want anyone to get hit by that obese beast!

I agree, I don't care what the tracks say, either. I had to leave one thread today, because they had a stinking pissing match in it. Several times over the last ten or so years, those tracks have been wrong and the hurricane turned and slammed areas they never expected them to hit- Katrina is a perfect example.
