Just a word of caution... During martial law, when society has broken down and it's take or die, authorities WILL confiscate anything you have 'for the greater good'....civil rights be damned. And it will take surprisingly less time to get to that level than you think. To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

I kept some wheat out of the sealed bags with oxygen absorbers because that kills the wheat germ and then they won't sprout. Goes for any kind of seed. Any seed that you are saving for growing AFTER the shtf, do not use oxygen absorbers. Just put them in a ziplock baggie and put in the bottom of your fridge.
I had tomato seeds that were at least 20 years old, never stored special, even in a hot garage. This year I started all my tomatoes myself and tried 5 of these, started 4 in each pellet and every single one sprouted. Tomatoes as suppose to be the most fragile of seeds, yeah right.
Lentils and mung beans are suppose to be great for sprouting as well as pinto beans. I got lots of pintos!! We are gonna hate them but you can use in bread to add protein!

When we had that big quake and then Japan, the reason I started searching and questioning was so simple. The moon. I noticed it looked different. like it turned more to the right and slightly south. I am a big time moon watcher. My mom and I always moon watched together and when she passed in 2007, I would talk to her while gazing up at a full moon. It helped with getting past the worse grief I ever imagined and I lost a baby at 6 months pregnancy. I knew and know what the moon should look like. Period. It moved. Took me a while to learn that it wasn't the moon that changed but the earth did. Earth changes became my main research, then solar activity. Then I started minor prepping in the middle of 2011 and slowly tried to build it up. Hard times hit and we used most of the preps. Then I started building it up again. Once again, something else happened and we ended up needing those preps. Lesson learned, you don't just prep for the end of the world as we know it, you prep for when shtf in your own personal section of the world. |

Yellow fever mosquitoes spread fear of deadly viruses in Los Angeles Ebola may not be the only cause of fear to arrive in the US recently. Yellow fever mosquitoes ‒ which can transmit dengue, chikungunya and yellow fever itself ‒ have been found in the Los Angeles region, officials announced Wednesday. These mosquitoes can spread the three deadly tropical viruses to humans through their bites. They were found Oct. 7 and 8 in Commerce and Pico Rivera, respectively, according to the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVCD) and San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District (SGVMVCD).
