oh yeah i definitely will do most of the cooking. I'm cajun after all. Everyone seems to enjoy all the spiciness that we cook with down in Louisiana. Next crawfish season we are going to get some live crawfish shipped up here and going to do a crawfish boil and see how they like that. Her sister and brother inlaw are stoked at that idea.
Quoting: Nefarious Libertine I love cajun cooking, I would enjoy your food I'm sure! Crawfish boils are fun (I won't suck the juice out of the head though - and good luck getting Simple to do that!). I also love a good shrimp boil. I'm in STL so you wouldn't think I'd even experienced a crawfish boil, but we happen to have a big French Creole influence here. We also have a big Mardi Gras celebration, which is usually the time of year any crawfish boils around here take place. [ link to aboutstlouis.com] Quoting: KickinIt Never knew that about STL learn something new everyday. and I think I can get her to suck the head I'm terrible, I just couldn't let that one slide by . We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated Interesting....2 oarfish washed up in the Philippines just one day prior to the 6.2 this week. Two Massive ‘Sea Serpent’ Oarfish Wash Up on Beaches "On August 8, one day before a magnitude 6.6 earthquake hit Luzon in the Philippines, two oarfish, one 12-feet-long and the other 14-feet-long, washed up on a beach on another island. Reports say they appeared to be in relatively good health and the larger one was a female.
In this instance though, the earthquake correlation is not so easy to make—the oarfish wound up over 800 miles from where the quake was centered." [ link to news.nationalgeographic.com] And while I'm on this subject, I still wonder if there is going to be another big one in the Philippines. Considering the 6.2, there haven't really been that many quakes since then. And only 2s and 3s, not even a 4. Seems weird. [ link to www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph] |
