61 degrees here today with a bit of a blow, perfect for gardening. Hope everyone is safe and well and seeing blue cool skies for the weekend. ltana
 Quoting: -Haun-

Hey Haun! I'm not a happy camper here, its more like Columbus weekend than Labor Day. Barely cracked 60 today, its in the 50s now. The mosquitos are flying around the house, looking for someplace warmer than outside, lol. Its supposed to be 80 on Monday though, so a bit of a reprieve. Happy holiday weekend everyone.

P.S. Had to download firefox to get on glp. No link on google and I didn't have it bookmarked. Weird, haven't heard anything form Trin on it yet.
 Quoting: Isis One

I had to giggle because it's 58 degrees here right now and I have all of the windows WIDE OPEN!

I just cannot wait for consistent Fall temps! wink

Hey people! Hope you have a tremendous weekend!

Keep up the good work on monitoring things and thanks for all that you do! It saves me from having to do it myself! lol

You're sweet to think of my recovery! I have up and down days, but can't complain. How are you reacting to the new BP med?

hf hugs
Quoting: a Dude, not THE Dude

I always think of my friends. : )

Ya know, I think the new med may be helping a bit. It's a calcium channel blocker. Around 3pm today while I was at work my body sorta started to freak out. Flushing and all that fun stuff. I took one of those new pills on my way home around 5:30 and it seemed to make a difference about an hour later and I have continued to improve physically since then.

Yesterday was my first day taking it and even yesterday I noticed some sort of difference. In a good way. : )

Hopefully we have found the proper concoction lol.

I'd likely be singing a different tune if I wasn't trapped in an office all day today. It was pretty cool and breezy here today, but it felt so good when I stepped outside to leave at 5pm.

Literally a breath of fresh air.

I think warm/hot temps contribute to my BP rising. I know that sounds crazy/unrealistic, but I've been noticing a pattern with my recent appointments. 1dunno1

One thing I learned from the previous couple of years is to not discredit or overly believe in one thing or the other with my crazy health stuff.

What a trip my friend. I didn't want to ever be back in that position again, this position again, and sadly it all seems much worse this go round...even though I have more good days than bad this time. It's all so bizarre. It's almost as if I should feel way worse than I do (not that I feel 'good' by any means), but I'm getting by.

I'm just as puzzled as my multiple docs have been all along.

My job provided some relief as of today. Temporary relief, but any relief is better than how it's been, so I am hopeful once again. The flexibility my job has been willing to offer will make a huge difference in things I believe...I hope.

It will eliminate a lot of stress, which is huge for me right now. It's crucial that I take care of myself as thoroughly as possible and as often as possible until all things stabilize.

Cheers to better days ahead, God willing. : )

Oh good, I'm glad you finally got a solid night in. I am not the greatest sleeper to begin with anymore. Used to be, but now I'm a very light sleeper and I definitely can't sleep in late anymore. Latest would be 9am-ish, no matter how late I go to bed. It sucks, but I chalk it up to getting older. For whatever reason, it's also not uncommon for me to sleep crappy on friday nights. Usually on Saturday I'm so tired I sleep better. We'll see, but since my one job ended and Monday's a holiday I only work on Wed. next week so I have a lot of time to relax :)

You have any special plans this weekend? Any grandkids visiting?

E.T. Calling? Astronomers Pick Up Radio Signals From Space

A series of unexplained radio signals has been discovered coming from a source in a galaxy three billion light years away.

Scientists with the Breakthrough Listen initiative say they detected 15 repeating, fast radio bursts (FRBs) coming from the same mysterious source they recorded an FRB from in 2012. In 2015, the same source became the first object to ever recorded repeating a radio burst.

That's a solid plan! The tiny town bar sounds right up my alley! I'm thinking of ditching the blues festival I mentioned yesterday. Sad to say, but it's down on the riverfront by the Arch, and crime has gotten so bad downtown I really don't know if I want to deal with it. Parking is a hassle down there, which means having to walk - and be a target for criminals in the process. I never used to be like this - just did what I wanted to do and was careful and watched my back. But the crime has gotten so brazen and out of control here I have changed my tune a bit.
