good to know, thanks
I will get some,,,though I don't have enough hair to use it,,,

btw, that wasp sting I got at the Dairy Queen, my whole arm swelled up to double its size and I had to have my arm in a sling for a week, couldn't use it at all, right arm, too, a total pain in the ass.

Yeah, just get some cheap aerosol stuff to have on hand. It does come in handy.

I have only been stung by a bee once (yellow jacket), and I was in grade school. It hurt and the area swelled up a bit (it stung me in the stomach through my shirt), but nothing major. I had no idea a wasp sting would be so awful as you described.

I will say this, wasps are one of the scarier, more menacing looking creatures to me. I will run from a wasp faster than I will from a bee. It's like the catfish of stinging insects, as far as the ugliness factor.

Yes! It's kinda cruel to make their wings all sticky to the point they can't fly, but heck, we're higher on the food chain and that's how it goes. You fly into my territory, and the hair spray's coming out!

It ain't cruel when your entire family's at risk from wasp stings.

I'd rather kill it and be done with it than it being long and dragged out.

I agree w/him about watching Chile. With all the large quake activity in the south Pacific, that is eventually going to travel across the pond to S. America, and Chile would be the likely target. It's also been relatively quiet in Chile, especially considering the large quake in Panama, the energy from which should've traveled south but we really haven't seen it.

Bad storms coming. Again. Just like clockwork, every damn day. And of course right when I'm supposed to leave to meet some friends for dinner! I'll have to wait it out. It's not this dark at my house yet, but it's creeping closer and winds are crazy. Can't wait to pick up the patio furniture again!

Damn, I read that you had bad weather but I missed the part about wiping out the wheat! That's terrible! I'm shocked you say you haven't seen it that bad, considering how long you've been there. That tells me how bad it is. We have torrential storms here almost daily. Nothing too damaging in my neck of the woods, luckily. But ugly, bad storms. The upside to all this is that no one in the region here has had to water their lawn this year so far.

Unfortunately, a customer just got stung by one!! Going to have to kill em =/

Don't get me started. A wasp got into my house last Saturday after we got home.

Not fun.
 Quoting: CuriousSeeker

Hairspray is the key to killing a wasp in the house. Does your mom use hairspray by chance? It's better than using insect spray, because the insect spray won't kill it quick enough, just make it angry enough to want to sting you. But a quick jolt of hairspray is sticky enough to slow it down if not immobilize it, then you can squish it.

another fun fact: if you ever get ball point ink on your clothing, spray some hairspray on it and watch it disappear! Then wash as usual.
 Quoting: KickinIt

The proper way to take care of a nest like that!!!
