I cooked some pork back ribs. IMAGE ( [ link to i60.tinypic.com] ) IMAGE ( [ link to i58.tinypic.com] ) I was thinking about setting up the Christmas tree tonight. 5 or 6 years ago I went ahead and broke down. Shelled out four hundred dollars and a LED pre lit artificial tree. It takes a little time to set up and spread out, make look pretty. But it's more than paid for itself in time, mess, disposal and actual money about twice over. Plus I've always liked Douglas firs. Even several years ago. A Douglas fir was set me back about $125. I couldn't imagine what a Dougless fir would cost now, probably $200. Not to mention they're usually gone first from the season lots. You think a Douglas fir would be the cheapest of like the five or six xmas type out there. because we grow them in the Northwest. I also like Scotch Plains. But they're real expensive too. I know you guys probably get Scotch pine cheap out East. Yes I'm talking to you simple27. Quoting: deanoZXT I still use a real tree. They're not that expensive here. $15-80 depending on species and size if you buy one in town. I also have the option of getting a $4.00 Christmas Tree Permit and heading out to national forest 50 miles away or so. I figure by the time I add up cost of fuel to get out there, find the one I like and get it home, I'm better off just buying one in town. There's a 53 degree difference in just 100 miles within central Montana. Very impressive! If you look to the north in Canada, there's temperatures in the -15 to -20 degree range! There's even a -31 degrees in Alberta along the lee of the mountain range. This Arctic air is expected to continue filtering through the northern Plains through the weekend and into early next week.
