Yeah. The only things the US gets to watch are total crap.

I usually get the BBC stuff on Netflix later.

Trying to decide on my next "disaster" book, lol!! I've narrowed it down to 4 that look decent. My choices: Mt Ranier eruption, complete rupture of both San Andreas & Cascadia, Meteor Storm or a combination of terrorism (nukes) & earthquake (New Madrid-terrorists decide to take advantage of the chaos after the EQ)...

Decisions, decisions....eq Tank abomb siren2 violin

Simply because of the scenarios mentioned, I'd go with the last one.

Those things would lead up to pandemic and plague.

Found this article interesting

[link to www.iflscience.com]
I was always an unusual girl. My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean... And if I said I didn't plan for it to turn out this way I'd be lying...
Because I was born to be the other woman. Who belonged to no one, who belonged to everyone. Who had nothing, who wanted everything, with a fire for every experience and an obsession for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn't even talk about it,and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzled and dizzied me.

I'm kinda "Pandemic-Ed Out"!! I've got my MS in microbiology & still help out an infectious disease doc that I did an externship with for 3 years. I get about 25 email reports/DAY of CURRENT, REAL emerging infectious disease outbreaks!! (pro-med mail if you want to know how to get them, let me know). Jacquiline Durga has some decent, recent releases about pandemics-if you haven't read her, I highly recommend!!

How about THIS one-not as good reviews as some of the others, but that can be very subjective in this genre. I don't mind a few typos/spelling/grammar problems if the story is realistic and well-written otherwise.
This one says it's about the Canary Islands erupting, not only is there a tidal wave but the Pope happens to be on the island when it erupts...and aliens then come into the picture (drawing on the Vatican-ET "conspiracy"), and other disasters start to happen....

Cataclysm by RJ Smith [link to www.amazon.com]

OR This one about an ELE Meteor shower-which happened tens of thousands of years before, wiping out an early, highly advanced civilization based in North India. (Based on recent archeological findings in Northern India that are challenging the "West's" view of early civilization. David Frawley's book "God's Sages and Kings" STARTS to get into it, although even more discoveries have been made just in the past 5 years-that they're "struggling" to understand, according to what I've read):

METEOR STORM by David Capps [link to www.amazon.com]

(I'm leaning towards the latter-UNLESS WA, you have a recommendation??!! PS I've read a LOT of the Disaster books on Kindle these past few years!!)

Everyone just thinks California is out of water. This time next year, we might be as well. We've had mild Winter's the last few years. I know last Winter ski resorts didn't even open full time at all.

Puget Sound cities activate drought plans as river levels drop
Seattle, Everett and Tacoma are all activating the first phase of their drought and water shortage plans, starting Tuesday. Those cities supply about two-thirds of all of the water used by Puget Sound residents and businesses - about 180 million gallons a day in the summer.

Official State site, updated weekly. The whole state is officially in Severe Drough

Lake Tapps is super low. Not to far from me at all. Now it is a man made lake. But the state has cut off pumping water back into it.
