Ok. I just found out that although I like Chinese, I do NOT like Korean food. Or at least, a Korean beef bowl. ewww

damn, it was hot. My mouth is still on fire after only one bite.
 Quoting: ~Jazzy~

Bummer, I LOVE Korean food! Oh man, I love it. They have some spicy dishes, but their food isn't usually spicy. Usually when you find Korean beef bowls it's beef bulgogi, which is not supposed to be spicy at all. Look for bulgogi - it's more of a sweet-ish, soy/ginger based flavor. You would probably like that.
 Quoting: KickinIt

This was just a frozen Healthy Choice Power Bowl.

Braised beef, shitake mushrooms, kale, bamboo shoots, carrots, chard, black barley, red quinoa, red rice, spinach, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sake, gochujang, ginger, garlic & paprika

I should know better than to expect anything frozen to taste good...omg
 Quoting: ~Jazzy~

P.S., it's the gochujang that made it spicy. Gochujang is a fermented chili paste, made with Korean red chilis. That's what you want to avoid if you don't like spicy.

Ah, ok. Well, I implore you not to give up on Korean food based on a frozen healthy choice bowl. If you ever have the opportunity to get Korean in person, get bulgogi. It's always delicious if done right and it won't ever be spicy. Overall, Korean is very different from Chinese, so don't go in expecting anything like Chinese. Real Korean BBQ is the shit, if you ever come across a place that does that. It's the most meat you'll ever eat in one sitting, guaranteed. And it's delicious.
 Quoting: KickinIt

I always give things a second chance, especially when it comes from box..lol. I've had Philippine, Schezuan and Taiwanese and I like those. They're nothing like Chinese either so I expected Korean to have it's own unique taste but this was just awful and not just because it was hot.

Just melted in your mouth and the sauce...perfect. I miss that place. After it burnt down (for the 4th time) the city refused to renew their license. Damn shame too.

Activity continues...

CME IMPACT SPARKS POLAR AURORAS: Yesterday, a CME struck Earth's magnetic field. "Right from the minute it got dark, our skies were alive with dancing aurora," reports tour guide Marianne Bergli of Tromsø, Norway.

This is one of dozens of pictures she took between sunset and 3:30 the next morning:
[link to spaceweathergallery.com]

WOW!!! ^^^

"What an amazing night,' she says. "The CME arrived as predicted by Spaceweather.com, and something tells me there is much more to come."

Indeed, there is more. A stream of high-speed solar wind flowing from a wide hole in the sun's atmosphere is following close on the heels of the CME. It could produce a new round of geomagnetic activity and polar auroras when it arrives on Feb. 16th or 17th.
