Sim, even though I understand what you are saying, but from a protective and privacy point of view, you might want to consider removing those posts about work or at least the big smiley. Who knows who might be reading too, maybe a colleague or one of your bosses and since you also posted your text message in that imgur link.. understand?
Nothing wrong with that text though. You worded it quite right. I at least would not be offended at all if one of my people sent me a text like that. It would be trigger to talk. And that's what you intend.
We talked about this before and as Kickin says, you should at least get paid for the work that you do. Quite normal to at lesat write those hours you put in off the clock (even including weekend overtime tariff.)
As for your workload. Put your foot down. From being a boss point of view I really respect people who stick to their guns and not do it after all anyway. Saying no and then still do it, leaves the door open to abuse your loyalty again and again.
You are worth much more to the company than you sometimes realize yourself or give yourself credit for Sim. They know that and that is why they keep adding more to your plate. Take a stand and stick to it. Like you said, they most likely will not be able to fire you anyway, so you might as well make demands for change and pay. You are WAY to modest.
And if they don't listen or respect you and keep pressuring you, go look for another job in the meantime. You have many skills, are at an age and experience level that still makes it more than possible to change jobs. And don't fall for threats. There are many fields that border to your field that they have no influence in when it comes to employment. I also messaged you a link for you to check out.
Be the wiser one here Moon Girl. You have enough on your plate of life as it is already.
And now I am off back to bed. See you all tomorrow.
