Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.3 Mid-Indian Ridge*5.2 Mid-Indian Ridge ~ Pg 20449 I aim to solve my sleeping issues. Several things impacting my sleep including: sleeping next to a power strip that has super annoying lights. They aren't that bad usually but in darkness they are bad and bright. And a neighbor recently installed bright outside LED lights fhat now shine right into my bedroom, around the curtains!!!
:angry2a:
So I bought a sleeping mask that blocks out all light. Here is hoping that I sleep like a baby tonight.
Quoting: CuriousSeeker I promise you'll thank me. Get em'. [ link to www.amazon.com (secure)] I have them in my bedroom. Best purchase EVAH! Lol, they're awesome. The ones in the link aren't the exact ones I have (the ones in the link may even be better, idk), but they're on sale and you could have them by Friday. : ) Quoting: Simple27 I have thermal curtains in my bedroom too. Different color, but they do help. They also help keep my room cooler in summer and warmer in the winter. Quoting: KickinIt I use self stick black kitchen vinyl shelving material on the inside of my bedroom windows to stop the light. It works great and at very little cost or effort to install. Just a little Windex and a squeegee with a few minor cuts. Quoting: joinca Interesting, I like your idea. Cheap and it works. My only issue there for me is that I like to occasionally open the windows up and let some air and light in when it's nice out. I guess it's still possible w/your scenario, but the only light would be where the window is open. I have mini blinds behind the curtains, so there's double duty going on. I guess we all like our bedrooms like a bat cave :) |

The curtains are going to have to be put on the backburner I'm afraid due to my situation. However, I got something that works even better and blocks out all light in my immediate vicinity (even the lights from power strips in my room were bothering me). [ link to www.amazon.com (secure)] It works so amazingly well I finally slept for the longest time last night and I feel sooooo refreshed this morning. Quoting: CuriousSeeker I'm glad you were able to get some sleep. : ) I can't sleep with something on my face so I had to go with the curtains. Quoting: Simple27 I agree, I couldn't deal with that being on my face, but I'm so glad it worked for you CS! Some good sleep will help you feel a lot better. And related to this topic, I can't deal with earplugs either. I've tried and tried but they feel weird and I end up taking them out. Thankfully it's usually quiet in my neighborhood, but the smallest thing will wake me up. Like a bird chirping on my windowsill. |
