2017 has the lowest amount of 6+ and 7+ since at least 1999. We would need seven 6+ and three 7+. Insane year.
No new 6+ in 11 days. Just before extreme supermoon on January 2nd. (As already discussed in depth by other posters).
The extreme southern event should precede any 8+ happening. I compiled a brief list of locations which could pop 5+. Then we are entering the critical window. I expected the southern event earlier, but it's still relevant to watch out.
There really aren't that many great indicators about 8+ but this is one of the best.
50S+ locations: Antarctic Ridges, Macquarie Islands, South Sandwich Islands, Balleny Islands, Bouvet Islands, Scotia Sea, South Georgia Islands.
-Finland
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70741747 I did look a bit more into 8+ since 2004. 12 out of 14 times there was an extreme northern and southern event only couple days before. We would now fit that criteria. The longest it took from polar quakes to 8+ materializing was 8 days. That would mean before 31/12 or new years eve. Normally I would not put too much into these near polar events but when they occur within close proximity of each other, AND we have almost a 2week lull with 6+ AND the smallest number of 6+ and 7+ since goddamn long time, so statistically there is a strong possibility of "happening". -Finland Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72190847 Magnitude 4.8 Region PACIFIC-ANTARCTIC RIDGE Date time 2017-12-28 21:41:04.5 UTC Location 56.91 S ; 142.04 W Depth 81 km [ link to m.emsc.eu (secure)] Quoting: Simple27 ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I can catch a rooster, dispatch it, scald, defeather and gut it in under half hour. Though we do have a machine to take care of the feathers. Not sure if it's a skill. But even to my surprise, I've shot and actually hit a mink in the chicken' lay house. They will kill all the chickens they can at one time. Unlike rats that just take one to eat. Minks kill just to kill. Also we can do rat control and be proactive on that front. Plus one of the dogs is a great rat hunter, she is. She's the German Shepherd. It's great how she was trained to hunt rats, yet leave the chickens alone. Though I was told there was a learning curb. When she was young she got her fair share of chickens. Quoting: deanoZXT |

Quoting: ~Jazzy~ I think I am going to report it, however, I will do so knowing it will do no good. The city of STL doesn't give a crap. In some parts of the city they have dumpsters vs. individual receptacles and I've seen people post on NextDoor that their dumpster hasn't been emptied in weeks. They post pics of it literally overflowing. What really sucked is that it wasn't even MY glass I was cleaning up. It was my neighbor's, and I know this based on where it was in relation to our bins, and because I don't drink freaking wine coolers. But someone had to clean it up, and as per usual that person was me. Virtual chili is good! |
